Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Keep in mind that it's now around 10am Manila time, February 1st, where this Sprint BYOD group is located and their shift serving the January 31st USA day ends in about 2 hours, so it's very likely that they'll know today if this program has been extended when they check in for work later today/tomorrow their time.
The posters saying here a few hours ago that they were told by the Manila Sprint reps that program has been extended appear to be correct.
It certainly looks as if the BYOD 1 year free offer will be extended.
Yes, it is good news for me.
I will be porting out in the next few days, waiting 45 days to qualify as a new customer, and then signing up again (I do not have a second SSN I can use)!
I personally have no doubt it has been extended as described, but I can understand that some people perfectly reasonably and conservatively want to wait for official written confirmation.

Thanks - it is definitely a gamble and would not be suitable for non-gamblers. In my case it would not/ will not matter that much, regardless of outcome, because I have another special offer elsewhere for broadband for next to nothing and I use the phone very little. So it is almost a toss-up anyway for me and I can afford to be reckless....

Or we could just refresh Sprint's page at 12:01 AM CST, since they're based in Kansas.
Perhaps it'll be updated with new information. Or maybe they'll wait for all those Californians who have been procrastinating.
Only 6 more minutes.
But either way, I lost $20 in a rewards program, because they expire at 12:00 EST. Of course they had to put EST in their terms.
So at least Sprint doesn't end their deals on east coast time...

Does this mean signing up now gets you 15 months of free service, or is 4/30/19 just the new "last" day to sign up?

"signing up now gets you 15 months of free service".
They are not going to announce that you can sign up until April 2019!

Really need some help.

Just port my number out of Sprint to Ting two weeks ago and trying get this deal. However, got the message, "Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer". My phones are IPhone 6 Plus and IPhone SE.

Any help is appreciated.

Sprint prepaid division (SPP, Boost, Virgin) origin phones cannot be acivated at all (with rare exceptions) regardless of whether they have been accepted on mvno's as "clearing Fed".

Other phones that have ever been on a Sprint mvno can be activated by first pushing them back to postpaid (flipping the ownership flag).

"Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device."
Yes, this the message you get on some of these cases.

The Verizon E2 is likely locked to Verizon.

These checks go by IMEI, but you do have to supply some non-Sprint network phone number as well.

Are they up and running on Ting CDMA side or on Ting GSM Side? It wll show on your account. Or did you just port the numbers and not the phones (and if so, to which side of Ting)?

It's on Ting CDMA. I ported the numbers and the phones.

Well you cannot port numbers from Ting CDMA side (which uses Sprint) to Sprint Postpaid and qualify for this offer.
.
You will have to move the number to Ting GSM side first.

As well, you will have to push the IMEI back to postpaid in the Sprint database (flip the MVNO flag to "SPCS")..

If you explain to Ting what you are trying to accomplish, they may do it all for you.

I suggest wait and see for other suggestions before doing anything.

You do not necesarily have to move the phone before porting, just the number (could be to a dummy IMEI).
However you will have to get the MVNO flag flipped in the Sprint database. Ting can do that.

Also separately you need to be a new Sprint customer (or at least a new SSN).
