Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

looks like E4 is the cheap choice for this plan, but I saw so many listings for this phone on Ebay, could anyone let me know which E4 I should choose? Thank you so much.

So those unlocked Moto e4 or e4plus on Amazon saying compatible with Sprint and other carriers will work on this free plan? Appreciate any help.
Moto G4/Play or Moto E4/Plus are cheap -- has to be fully unlocked version from factory (Amazon Prime versions are also fine)

Don't get prepaid phones -- Verizon Prepaid E4 is cheap @ $40 + few bucks for unlock code, but prepaid phones are not whitelisted on Sprint's network so it won't work (same thing for Boost E4)

The T-Mobile SIM from eBay doesn't include an activation code; isn't that needed, even for the Pay As You Go plan?

Thanks a lot for the info, You mentioned Verizon E4 @$40 , plus a few bucks for unlock code, does it mean this phone is good for the free plan?

Also which is a better buy ? Moto e4 plus 16gb brand new for $135 , or Moto g 5 plus 32gb used in very good condition with lockcreen offer& ads from Amazon for $165 Both are unlocked says compatible with Sprint and other carriers. Thanks a lot , tried to rep you again , but unable to.

If you want to activate TMo SIM online then you need activation code -- if you don't have one then you'll have to call them to activate

Prepaid phones don't work on Sprint -- that includes VZ Prepaid E4 so avoid that

Amazon will be getting rid of ads on their phones so don't worry about ads

E4 is their budget line so it'll be cheaper -- G5 should have better specs but costs more

Thanks so much , but with $30 difference, is it worthwhile to buy E4 plus 16gb new vs G5 plus used , in very good condition 32 GB ? Decision time , please advise. Thanks again, also unable to rep you.

Yes, the Verizon Moto E4 is great for a GSM carrier that works on T-Mobile or AT&T - but not Sprint.

Careful with those eBay listings - some of them are obviously selling the Verizon version of the E4, but others simply say "fully unlocked" (which is technically true) but still are selling the Verizon version, unlocked, that won't work on Sprint.

I have both the Verizon E4 and the fully unlocked E4 (working on Sprint now). I don't think Walmart is selling the Verizon E4 for $40 anymore - maybe it will come back again? Seems to come and go. Pretty great phone for that price if you can get one. Unlock codes have gotten more expensive for it on eBay, too, I see.

Personal preference is that I didn't want a phone larger than 5" in my pocket, which is one big reason I went with the E4.

Amazon has announced it will be getting rid of the lockscreen ads from all of its Prime phones. I'm not sure if that means existing phones, all of their "non-Prime" phones (is here such a thing?) - probably all of them I'd guess. I was able to get lockscreen ads removed from my Amazon Fire tablet simply by messaging Amazon and telling them I found some of the ads offensive and inappropriate for my, uhm, "kids" ("gambling ads for slot machines - how sinful!" LOL). I got an apology about 15 minutes later and within an hour my tablet had updated and all the lockscreen ads were gone forever.

Up to you -- $30 for better specs doesn't seem that bad if the phone is in good condition

I personally like to buy new phones so its brand new with fresh battery & warranty -- I don't have to worry about worn/abused parts

New one goes for $185 if you have time to wait for another sale:

Just bought the phone Moto g5 plus from Costco store for $180 plus tax. I have Boost sim card, which I used to activate two I phone 5S yesterday without any issue. can I use the same type of sim to activate my newly bought G5 plus? he WIKI says that specific sim needed to activate Moto E4, does this apply to G5 plus? I will be transferring number from google voice. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks. My current sim ending 436C, according to WIKI, it's no good for G5. Now I have the phone, but have to look for sim.
