Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes it will/would be really tight to do it now by 45 days before May 31. You would need to get right on it and count the days. Possible, but only barely. Of course they could use a later (or even earlier) cutoff date.

They might show some mercy right at the end. I would like to hope they would.

I am guessing that overall your odds would be good if you can do it immediately and there is no other SSN you can use.

Thank you, already done the port, so no lines remain as of yesterday.

Another question: I have unused credits of -$28.66 due to Sprint refunding me something for a phone upgrade. Will I get that refunded somehow?

I don't see why not unless it is a service credit only. It sounds like a refund for cash paid which should be reducible to cash.

They told me that using the online account for billing questions would not accidentally reopen the account (and I did use it after closing) but if you want to be really cautious and not touch the old account you can call Account Services instead (I do not recall the number - you can just call the regular Customer Service number and ask for or navigate to Account Services). They can deal with closed accounts. Also I would check ASAP with them that your account has been marked closed. It is supposed to close automatically the moment the last line is ported out but you want to be sure it actually did.

I currently have one free line which will end 9/30/18. If I port in another line now, will the new line expire 4/18 or 9/30/18 as the first line on the account? Thanks.

Same as first line, not a full year.
If you have another SSN (spouse etc.) you can open a new account with the new phone to get a May 2019 expiry and then move the original lines to that also by port out port in.

I'm looking to buy an inexpensive phone to make use of this offer. Any suggestions? I read on the wiki getting an ineligible phone to work on this free one yr plan. Did it work for anybody? Have Nexus 5x and honor 5x and Moto e4 all of these show ineligible based on imei. Wonder if I can get them to work.

The wiki is messy. Well intentioned but just messy.

You need a Sprint compatible phone that is preferably coming from a postpaid account. Or a factory unlocked Moto e4, g4 ( if you want to go cheaply).
If you're an iPhonian almost any will do (except those with Intel chips) from iPhone 5s forward.
The phone needs to be paid off and unlocked.
Call the number in this thread only. Give them your old carrier account number and pin.
Presto taadaa free 1 year
I have Moto e4 but when I enter IMEI to check eligibility... Shows ineligible. The phone is factory unlocked.

People who signed up earlier get whatever end-of-savings date was in effect at the time they joined (which was usually 12 to 15 months out from their signup date).

The very first such end-of-savings date was June 30 2018 (I checked) and you mist have been part pf that.

People joining right now get an end-of-savings date of May 31, 2019.

On the other hand, the last date to join in the first place is not announced ahead but may be May 31, 2018, or conceivably April 30, 2018 or some other as-yet unannounced date.

If it ends up being May 31,2018 (there is no way to tell ahead of time), then people do now (barely) have the 45 days to quit Sprint right now and rejoin 45 days later as a new customer and sign up over again under the same SSN. Better not to chance it, and use a family member's SSN instead since that does not require you to be off Sprint for 45 days.

I'm planning to take advantage of this free one year plan, is it ending soon?

Search LiterallyUnlimited in this thread and send him your MEID on Reddit BUT I would suggest posting your full details here to first so we can see if that is the problem.

Semifast posted an excellent summary but there are some other factors too, such as this will not work for quite a few Sprint Prepaid phones, that may also pass Tello/Ting but not activate on Sprint Postpaid so I would prefer not to email LiterallyUnlimited in cases that do not apply.
I have a Moto e4 that's factory unlocked and it's IMEI doesn't qualify for one year Sprint promotion. Should I get the mvno flag of the device flipped too?

I know I've seen it in this thread before, but what happens when you apply online and you are not given a PIN at the end?

It's really hard to search the thread for PIN since that 3 letter combo appears in other words

As to network locks, the sprint and other BYOD checkers do NOT check the sim locked(network locked) status of a phone. For iPhones you can check/buy apple gsx report to check sim locked status.
So what happens if the moto E4 is locked? is it possible to get it unlocked after it is purchased from ebay?
