Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Loving this deal so much. I activated an ancient HTC One M7 just so I could install Android Auto and leave it permanently connected to the stereo in my wife's car. Took a while to get it up and running (first to get Sprint data to work then to update the Rom past Android 5.0 so I could install AA), but all the work was worth it -- it's working like a dream.

Oh, I also ordered an Orbic Wonder for $68 off eBay with the coupon the other day as someone suggested. Man, that's a very nice phone for that price or anywher enear it. If anybody is looking for a cheap phone to do this deal, I suggest seeing if there's any on eBay still. They were $80 before coupon...
I bought Two of them. Not yet active on Sprint but look brand new. Pretty sweet that they'll work on any network. Glad that worked for you.
Edit: At first I was irritated with seller because the backs we're discolored and I assumed they were store demos. After some cleanup they are A OK

Yeah, that's what I wanted but they're so thirsty for signing up new people, that guy I talked to wasn't having it. I kept saying how the person I talked on the phone said I can go to the Sprint store and get a sim card but he's all like, no can't, have to make you an account. Even when I go there to get stuff from the Amazon locker they're always asking me if I want to sign a contract with them, every single time.
It sounds like the Sprint store you go to is a Sprint DEALER Store and NOT a Sprint CORPORATE store.
Always use a Sprint Corporate store!

It just means the sim is wrong. Try power cycling it.

It does not mean that Sprint did anything to your phone.

What phone is it and what sim is in it?

There is nothing wrong with their port department customer service that I have seen but that sounds more like a device issue than a phone number issue.

Porting relates to numbers not to devices and would have no effect on device activation (unless PagePlus releases a lock on port out I suppose).

PagePlus may have locked the phone.

But do check 866-437-1818 which will, as noted above, at least tell you if the port is complete (it is partly automated).

I think your case is a bit of a mystery because if the phone really is unlocked, you should be able to activate it on Sprint regardless of the port status of your phone number, which is sort of unrelated.
Quote from HunterOne :
As I said, it is extremely unlikely, but possible, that the Sim card you got is defective and you may need to replace it.
For peace of mind go to a Sprint store and request one. It should be free or $2.99.
Then you'll need to do an ICCID # swap with Sprint.
ICCID # and IMEI # are attached to each other with Sprint.
During your original registration setup online were the ICCID # and IMEI # registered to each other?
Thanks HunterOne and comintel. It was Page Plus. For whatever reason they weren't releasing the number. Sprint porting (who was indeed actually pretty good) got it taken care of and I'm good to go now (hopefully I get decent reception at home)! Thanks for your help.

Sim for all S8/8+ models ends in 416Q, not the part number you mention which will not work.
Quote from HunterOne :
Comintel above is right. You need SIMOLW416Q.

Right above the ICCID # is the UPC code #, it should be: 760492035279.

But just open the envelope and the correct part #, SIMOLW416Q, should be on the plastic Sim holder.
If not correct, just ask for the correct part #.

The SIMOLW416Q sim card part is very common and most Sprint Corporate stores will have it, while the SIMOLW506C pat # not so common and may not be in stock.
Sprint Dealer stores usually have these cards but they charge $25 for them.
Thanks guys! Appreciate it

I finally got everything done, big thanks to comintel and the others for the help.

Takeways:
-They seem to be very anal about the phone that will be opening the BYOD line. I had to do a poor me routine to get them to accept my LG G3. After that initial line, everything went as smooth as butter.
-You can reuse the t-mobile sim card despite what is being said. (I ported 3 lines using the same sim card, however if you want to do all of them at the same time, you need 3 sim cards)
-Getting sprint sim cards from the local stores is a luck of the draw thing. Some were very anal and scanned everything including your driver's license while others understood what the BYOD was and gave the sims to you. (They've been doing it for 1+ years already and know all about it.) All this could be prevented if you go to the store and ask for the sim before canceling/porting out your last Sprint account because they are obligated to help you switch phones.
-IMEI switching is easy and take 15 mins at most, just have to refresh the PRL when everything is set.

Need to cancel 2 old line to free up the phones. Dont care for the numbers. What will be the cheapest option? I have some unactivated H20, ATT, and Republic Wireless cards from the free month promo. Or don't bother and cancel through chat? Many thanks.
