Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, except I'm going to ask in a week or two for the unlock. I know 50 days is required but I've heard that sometimes they will do it sooner if your account has been open for a while. I've had my account since last July.

Attached is a screenshot of the line with the Moto G6 Play. I noticed it says that I'm eligible to upgrade, but not a free upgrade like my other line. What does that mean there would be a service charge?
Does it show G6 play as the device name.

That's likely a large part of why they're getting on.
Once Sprint gets the full set of IMEI ranges from Moto loaded, they'll take out the wildcard whitelisting. Devices already on should be ok, if we can judge by past experience.

My existing phone Orbic Wonder fell in water yesterday. Went to walmart to get Moto G6 play for $79. It was last one left.

Called sprint and they could not recognize the IMEID number. Got transferred to next level and he was able to add MEID to whitelist. The CS support mentioned it did not need a SIM and it was using CDMA. I am just wondering if that can be an issue later on.

The Sprint support was really solid. I was on the line for 40 minutes and they were very helpful.

A sim is needed for LTE. Maybe he meant it already came with sim so you don't need a new one. Is data working with LTE?

The Sprint sim card is already installed in the Moto G6 Play. You don't need to provide one when you activate.

Good point and in fact all Sprint branded devices come with sims.

All Sprint branded devices come with sims BUT it sounds to me as if he thought it was a CDMA only device and activated it as such. If so you may have to correct that by redoing the whitelisting or as edog11 notes you will not get LTE. If he entered it as a CDMA only device you cannot just update to add an ICCID either - you would have to redo from scratch.
My guess the rep was misspeaking and he meant it didn't need new sim. Another poster also said when activating they already knew iccid on included sim card.

Oh ok that's hopeful then although I do not know why in that case he would have said it was using CDMA.

Sprint rep can say anything, but if that guy doesn't get LTE we know why.

I still haven't opened the SIM card slot. Will check it today when I add SD card. I did give him ICCID number while activating it. And when I look at the phone information it say LTE network and shows the ICCID number. So i am hoping that its a sim card. Will confirm it today.

So I'm trying to port out and back in with my ssn (the current account is in my husband's), but they're telling me I have to go into a store with ID. Does anyone know why it's prompting this? The original rep thought it was because I had a sprint account in the past, like a year ago. I don't understand why I need to go into the store for this.
