Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes use another family members ssn. I simply used my wife's.

I ported out to T-Mobile prepaid and ported back in less than 30 minutes later.

I am using this service for 10 months now and cannot thank sprint enough for this awesome deal. However, as being human I want more. Is there any way to extend any workaround to take up another yr.

Another data point for successfully activating Moto G6 Play (from Walmart) on Sprint free line.
$80 well spent.
Very nice phone and aspect ratio is just amazing.
I initially tried chatting couple of times but that didnt work. Got it done on first call.

Thank you guys!
Is this available for online ordering or only in-store? I can't find it on their site.

To my knowledge in store only. I know the Walmart stores around me only received two G6 Play phones to sell.

I bought digital tmobile Sims off a guy on eBay for 3 bucks each. Somebody else had a link in the wiki. No other costs. I'll try to post in detail tonight the steps I went through.

if you're ok with waiting 5 days. I just called to do it and I was told they can't give you the account number until after 5 days of service. I should have done it through tmobile they give it to you instantly.

Search this thread for: carrier reset

For the Moto phones it should be: *#*#72786#*#*
This is one of the correct codes. I received the sim card today and activated the Moto G5+ and Sprint insisted on texting me a code so they sent a text on the Moto G6 play that I was having challenges with and no text came through. UGH so then we had to trouble shoot that device and this was the code she gave me. Put it in and still no code came through---finally decided to walk outside and I started receiving the texts---keep in mind I'm only about 12' from a wall with huge windows UGH gotta love Sprint. Frown.

So worked on that phone and then set up the other one and only 1 to 3 bars on that phone also so she decided I needed to talk to tech to get a home device to strengthen service. Spent the afternoon doing this crap. Well we did a speed test on both phones and got an error on both phones. Took the phone outside and was able to get to the internet but still slowly and then the bars were going up and down. He sent in a trouble ticket for the tower. He finally said that there were other reports pertaining to the tower. Yeah I bet there are.

So all of these Sprint people were aware that I had the Moto G6 Play on their network and didn't care. The last tech gave me the other code to reset *#*#72786#*#* to reset the network. Not sure what Code HunterOne shared but this one worked. Edit this is the one that HunterOne gave me but I think we used it on the G5 plus and not the Boost one. Yikes we couldn't remember which one we did because we were doing stuff on both but I'm thinking we did it on the Unlocked phone not the Boost one. Wish I would have asked him for the code on the Boost one.

So looks like both phones work but the Tower is a piece of crap. They are sending the device to strengthen signal in house but the bars were moving like crazy outside too so the signal is definitely dropping. I had the web page up and walked into the house and lost it but it wasn't moving very fast either. I did have a better signal last night and when I went for a drive it seemed to hold the LTE ok.

So we will see what happens but geez a cell phone service where you can't get a text in your house or they come an hour later??? not good.

JFI The Moto G5+ does NOT support WIFI calling. He verified that and that's what I found in doing searches. The G6 Play does support it.

If you are already on a free plan, what is the best way to cancel your existing account without dealing with Sprint representatives to get back on this deal.

Yikes Sprint needs to get their act together. I know we are talking about Sprint. I do have to say I have had nothing but pleasant experiences talking with them. NO challenges that way.

Looked at my first bill and the $5 auto pay credit was not deducted. Had a chat online--here it is. So make sure you do a chat if you see the $5 on your bill. The credit already appears on my account so it's fast. Mia S : I understand your concern. Please give me a moment while I research your issue.
Mia S : Thank you for waiting.
Mia S : As I checked the account details, the auto pay was set on the account on 05/21/2018
Mia S : The bill cycle date is 21 and the bill gets generated on 23 of every month
Mia S : So from the next month onwards you will get the atuopay discount
Mia S : \
You : so why wouldn't it be on this month. Auto pay was set up the same time account was set up
Mia S : let me get it discussed with my supervisor once.
You : totally NOT right

Credit is on account already but for $5 and I have to assume that the other $5 is for the phone I set up today so will watch for those changes.
You : and not what was promised
You : account set up, auto pay set at same time in same conversatioon
Mia S : oKay
Mia S : I can understand
Mia S : I will give the credit of $10 on the account
Mia S : It will be approved within 1-2 hours on the account
Mia S : Please be assured of it
You : k thank you
Mia S : You are welcome.
Mia S : A note has been added to your account to capture the details of our conversation for other individuals to reference when they access your account.
Mia S : Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
You : no does this always happen?
Mia S : From the next month bill you will get automatic credit on the bill
You : so this happens to everyone?
Mia S : Yes
Mia S : Once the auto pay gets applied then you will start receiving the crdit from the next month onwards
You : K thanks I will watch for the $10 credit
Mia S : Sure
You : Please make sure you do it Smilie
Mia S : I have applied the credit already
You : Thank You
Mia S : It is my duty to help you with the concern from my end
Mia S : Based on our conversation today, do you feel I have resolved your issue?
You : Yes you have

So I basically followed the directions that were posted here with a few added bits of info.

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115278203&postcount=18122

When you call tmobile you want to port into PRE-PAID service. They will not ask for much info at all (maybe a name). Do not give them any credit card or payment info. If they ask for this you are in the wrong department. Just say you want the default plan and will use cards to load credit later. They will make you create a pin code (write this down). The account number is going to be 1+your phone number but ask them to confirm before hanging up.

Once you have ported your number wait 10 minutes and check sprint again for eligibility via the link given in the original thread. When you get a Sprint person on the line tell them you want to port from Tmobile to Sprint to enjoy the free year. The important thing here is that you use a new SSN from the one you used for the last free year. Each account only has one SSN tied to it no matter how many lines are on it. So last year I had my wife on my account and I simply used her SSN this time and ported my phone onto it. Obviously this person has to have decent credit to pass a basic credit check.

I did my lines one at a time but you could probably save yourself a ton of time doing them all at once. I got 5 lines again this time.

Hope this helps.
