Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I am using this service for 10 months now and cannot thank sprint enough for this awesome deal. However, as being human I want more. Is there any way to extend any workaround to take up another yr.
Use a different SSN.

Manage Devices/More Options/ Activate New Sim
will show your ICCID to compare.

If your phone shows LTE that is promising. How many bars?

Get the SignalCheck app. or LTE Discovery and start looking at dbM levels etc.

Most likely you have made so many settings changes now that some of them are wrong.

I would reset all Settings and start over.

Or take it to a Sprint store.
I will try those apps but tried the speedtest app and it crashed in house on both phones. took it outside tonight and on one phone it's 1.58 download .01 upload and the other is 1.34 download and .06 upload. Frown That is standing out in our road.

Well as long as it works well elsewhere these do not actually matter, is that correct, because you have wifi at home?

Some places are just in coverage holes ot it may be a tower problem.

Or it is possible still the phone is defective or not a good performer in weak signal areas.

Have you tried wifi calling? Does that work?

If they send you a Magic Box that *may* fix the problem too.

The challenge is the Moto G5+ does NOT support wifi calling
The moto G6 play has it and it will work

They will be sending the magic box. The main thing is to get text and calls while I'm in the house. I can use my google # for texts but won't work for phone calls if it doesn't go through the phone. the texting can be set up to go through another cell phone like I"m doing now but the purpose of this is to get a cell phone that works and not have to carry around different ones. I doubt that Sprint will be doing much upgrading to their towers in our area either although this is a super fast growing area and plenty of homes and businesses. We are in Ft. Worth Texas so no small city!!

The Magic Box will not help the G5+ Plus for calls if that phone cannot do wifi calling. Magic Box is data only.

If the main problem is voice and texts, you would be better off getting an AIRAVE instead which piggybacks on wifi . Theoretically you could have both but they may not want to send both.

They talked about the Magic Box and the other and I think they are sending the Airave they said I had to put it in a window and it would increase the signal so I'm hoping what they are sending is for cell part. I don't really care about data because I have wifi. Pretty sad when the text's weren't coming in when I had the phones in the house but they did reset both phones and made some adjustments so not sure how that will work. Texts seem to be going through now but I have a feeling it's an intermittent challenge so we will see.

If text is your problem, try the Textra app.

Comintel above is right. Magic Box will, most likely, be useless to you while AIRAVE will help.
For more info on the Magic Box and its limitations read this:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=111660491&postcount=93

If there is no Band 41 signal, the MB will take the Band 25 or 26 signal and convert it to Band 41 within its limited 200 foot radius, BUT it's not a REAL Band 41, only a simulated one.

You can try the MB, IF they send you one, but if it's useless you should request a prepaid return label ONLY since you'll have all the packing boxes and send it back asap.
A MB is listed in your account with its own tel. # and it MUST be returned to Sprint if you want to close the account otherwise the account will be considered open and you'll not be able to take advantage of the 45 day period to be considered a new customer to Sprint.

P.S.
T-Mobile has (or it used to have) something identical to Sprint's Airave, where they provided for free a high end Asus router, rebranded T-Mo, but you had to return it after the account was closed or you got charged $100.

when is the last day to sign up?

I have an iphone that was used by another person with Sprint. If I try to activate it on here under the plan would I have issues? I haven't changed plans in years! Also, I am on another sprint plan but I am the added line and they never checked my ssn that I know of. If i signed up on this plan can I add the primary on my current sprint plan as my secondary? Would they also get free service or would they need to sign up separately? TIA!

Google Voice is now capable of wifi calling without cell service. They have a beta project running right now where you can sign up and usually your Google account will see the change within a day or two. I wouldn't recommend it if you use an Obi GV adapter in your home for your cordless phones. Google states your Obi box will stop working if you sign up and I don't think you can undo the GV account changes. It works very well and the voice quality is excellent, HD quality.

Hi all,

Anybody recently activated iPhone 8 (and/or Plus) on this plan? I'm on the free plan second time (thanks to Sprint and Slickdeals) and my old iPhone 6 is slowly dying so I was hunting for iPhone 8.

But I've found that newly sold Verizon phones (they are locked, but can be unlock for cheap) do not pass Sprint BYOD Free check. If anybody recently bought/activate on Sprint - please share if you bought Verizon (as told on the Sprint page) and if you know, the original date of purchase (date when warranty ends minus 1/2/3 year(s))
