It looks like HD streaming is no longer part of the deal for those of you signing up now. They must've removed it when the deal was extended to 9/30/19.

"Savings until 09/30/19; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo for line 2 and $20/mo/line for lines 3-5. Reqs. AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to AT&T Unlimited and Verizon Go Unlimited rate plans for 1 line as of 6/28/18. Video streams up to 480p, music up to 500 Kbps, gaming up to 2 Mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. Other monthly charges apply.**"
Good catch!

However the text lower on the page still says:

"Streams video at up to HD 1080p, music at up to 1.5mbps, gaming at up to 8mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. MHS, P2P and VPN reduced to 2G speeds after 10GB/mo."

So one or the other is wrong.

Thanx! Yeah, I had noticed that, and chalked it up to lack of attention to detail on the part of Sprint's internet advertising department.

I would guess you are right *unless* they got the terms and conditions mixed up with Kickstart.

More likely you are right and maybe they are using this as a means to give people an incentive to convert to Paid rather than roll over their Free plan. The service credit offers you get in the mail after you port out may be another part of their plan.

Also cutting back the video would explain why they rushed this into effect for new subscribers so early this month.

This is my question as well from reading the latest posts in this thread. Are you all using a spouse's SSN to re-up another year?
The wiki spells it out quite clearly.

Many people are successful on that route. But my experience is similar to yours. But finally i was successful in porting. Once you activate your T Mobile sim, follow the steps of free for one year eligibility and followed by ordering a new SIM (you need to pay 12.99 plus taxes), once you receive the sim (one day shipping), you can activate online. It may take 1 day service disruption, but finally itworked. Sprint customer care is bunch of confusion makers, either they will get confused or they ensure that the customer is getting confused., Just my thought.. Happy porting back to Sprint,.
Couldn't you re-use your existing Sprint micro SIM you ported to Tmobile?

I signed up last night and the website stated it ends 9/30/19, but my terms say it ends 7/31/19. Chat said Phase 7 of the program ends today (plan ends 7/31/19) and Phase 8 starts 7/13/18 (plan ends 9/30/19). Is anybody showing 9/30/19 as the end date on their plan terms. This plan is great, another 2 months would have been even better.

This is off topic, but I'm hoping one of you guys would have some insight into porting a number into Google Voice. I'm trying to save a landline phone number by porting it into T Mobile and then out to GV, but I didn't realize that the GV porting process requires a verification code be sent to the phone. My T Mobile account doesn't actually work (got online SIM card number, not physical SIM). Is there any way around this, or do I have to buy another SIM card that works so that I can verify the code. Thanks.

why not just port back into S for the next year
then when year is up, port into GV from S

others may have better suggestions, so wait for them to chime in

Thanks for the response, but I was planning to continue using it as a home phone, through an Obihai VOIP adapter.

Is there a good email contact for me to reach out to? I've tried a couple times to get on this plan, and have had issues. I think sprint opened up a couple accounts for me...which has lead to some of the difficulty.

Good point.
You can email Marci Carris
SVP Customer Management at Sprint

and ask her to investigate.
edit:

by the way, i added this information as well as other information regarding SIM cards to the wiki
Sadly, it will only stay there for a little while until our resident "SPRINT Corporate employee" (ultasoul) goes and changes the wiki

to peddle his own post (THAT WAS COPIED FROM 2 OTHER ORIGINAL POSTERS)
about how to port to TM and back to sprint

hi all.. i'm a bit confused. i got the email from sprint 2 days ago that my free one year expires 7/31/2018 but i signed up on 10/20/2017 with the promo phase stating it was good until 10/31/2018.

why am i being docked 3 months from the promotion? i mean i expected to need to flip in early october but this seems premature. mistake maybe or don't risk it and bail out now? the prices are way higher than i would like to keep.
