Problem. An hour and a half after calling to switch, my port hasn't gone through. My iPhone thinks that my phone number is the phone number I had which I lost by deactivating Tmobile, before switching to att prepaid. In other words, it's the phone number that I was using with Sprint before I ported out to leave the company for at least 45 days. Any idea of what's happening? I'm porting from att prepaid, maybe they're just slow. My phone signal keeps cycling through the bands. You know, 1x then lte. I've got it on WiFi and opened a chat with Sprint. Any time I try and make a call. An automated voice says that I can pay them with a credit card to complete said call. I'm sure it will all work out.

I was told that hotspot was included when I ordered the sim....now they are saying that its not included.

As expected by a shady company.

Rep was saying that ATT has crappy internet. Should have recorded that call.
Hotspot was dropped as per numerous discussions here. It is not listed on the web site any more or in the plan details on your Desktop.

Sales Reps know little - don't ask them any questions and they'll tell you no lies.

Many of them can't even keep track of the current last savings date for people who sign up for the promo. It is currently Sept. 30 2019, but a lot of the reps cannot even quote that correctly. Quite a few of them assume it is an exact year from when you sign up. In other words, they do not understand even the basics of how the plan works. I think Sprint has left then too isolated and unsupervised over there in the Philippines. Another management failure.

1. Can't take call and use internet at the same time on my iPhone X. WTF. [A]
2. Used my GV number to port with no issues.
3. 17$ for insurance and $2.90+$2.90 monthly bill.

[A] Jr M (CSR).: To tell you honestly. Even the other provider don't have this feature in regards to making calls and use the internet at the same time
Jr M.: Actually Sprint is working on upgrading our system to have that feature on making calls and At the same time browsing to internet

connected to supervisor:
Leanjoy P.: I understand the situation and your frustration.
Leanjoy P.: Sprint is continually working to expand our cell sites and improve our coverage.
Leanjoy P.: Throughout the next year we will be making major updates to your market, upgrading our network to 5G.
Leanjoy P.: With this upgrade it should support both Voice and data at the same time.
Leanjoy P.: We are currently doing that one. We are updating the towers to make sure that by next year will be the first network to offer 5g network.
You: why not invest on the current infrastructure and stop day dreaming?
You: you are light years behind this current technology, isn't it?
You: actually I just thought of switching to sprint around 17 phone lines if your current network works properly in my office location.
You: but you guys just missed the chance.
Leanjoy P.: We dont wanna miss the chance of losing you as a customer.
Leanjoy P.: This is why we try our best to update the tower to ensure that the service and coverage would be wider.
Leanjoy P.: This is also the reason why we team up with tmobile
You: last network to follow the tech, and first network to start a trend? that is cute. Will just stick to this 2nd phone for now on Sprint and have my services by the bigger brothers.Have a nice day Joy.

Ah but the web page at https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml actually allows you to manage your port online. Shows last error, allows you to correct PIN and retry live then and there etc.

At least it did for me. I imagine you have to be signed onto your Sprint account to get this page.

Also if you call the number you can work with them online to expedite the port in real time etc. A lot better than the 2 and 3 hour hold times at TMO!

Except I think the port support dept. closes around 10 pm as I recall.

Quote from ultrasoul :
For A) existing customers whose 1 year BYOD plan is expiring and want to renew another year of free BYOD OR B) customers on Sprint MVNO's i.e. Tello/Ting/Virgin/Boost, the fastest easiest is to port out to T-mobile using $5 digital T-Mobile SIM card from eBay and port back in to Sprint for another year of free 1YR BYOD.

If you are existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days, you will need a new SSN (friend/ family). If you are porting from a Sprint MVNO you don't need a new SSN as long as you weren't a Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

1) First, have your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO account number and PIN ready. Ensure that you have a Sprint eligible phone and compatible Sprint SIM card (Sprint SIM can be reused)

2) Order the $5 digital T-Mobile SIM Card from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/232903327738. You will purchase 1 unique digital T-mobile SIM for each line you want to port as each digital SIM can be used only/ consumed only once.

3) You don't have to topup/ reload the Tmobile digital SIM. Once receive the digital SIM card number, call Tmobile customer care 1-877-778-2107 to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO acct number, PIN , phone number and T mobile SIM card number. If rep asks for an activation code tell them it is not necessary- only the SIM card number is needed.

4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process. Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.

5) Wait for ~ 20 minutes to verify the completion of the T-mobile port and the cancellation of your Sprint account. Port is complete when your existing Sprint/ Sprint MVNO phone stops working (no calls/ no text/ no internet)

6) Now call back sprint telesales number 1866-782-8777 to sign up for the 1 year BYOD free plan and port back your number from Tmobile with a new SSN if you were an existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

7) After about 45 mins on the phone call, you are good to go for another one year. Verbally confirm that the representative waives the $30 activation fee per line as part of the promotion. In addition, ensure the rep DOES NOT add insurance on your phones to the billing- Sprint reps have been known to be unscrupulous and add insurance without your knowledge. Ask the rep to notate your account that you signed up for the BYOD 1 year $0 promotion for both lines in case the rep misapplied the promotion. In addition, ask the rep for your new Sprint account number and notate this down for future reference.
Awesome, it worked. Thank you so much. great work.
