I saw the terms updated ~6/28, not 6/22. On 6/22, it was still showing a 6/30 expiration.

Not mistaken. I saw what I saw when I saw it, because I was staring at the 1yearfree page a day or two before the 6/30 expiration. If it had still been showing 6/30 expiration on 6/28, I'd have already signed up for that new line by 6/30 and I'd be done with this. But I didn't--because the terms had already been updated before 6/30.

I saw it almost 2 weeks earlier--just didn't post it
So whether June or July , there is precedent for mid-month changes. I think there were mid-month rumors in May too that did not materialize.

Hmm, I checked Sprints Youtube channel, and that was the only video related to the free unlimited plan posted this year. The ones prior to that were from a good year ago--so not relevant. I'd feel a lot better about waiting past 9/13 if I could find some proof that they previously had a 6/13-6/15 expiration posted somewhere. Oh well.

Sometimes they have emailed people written offer quotations with expiry dates.

If you chatted they might be able to send you one on request. It may be an automated function.

By the way Groupon had this offer with a Sept 14 expiry date for a while.
That's an interesting idea--though I've little faith in them honoring anything, even in print. A few months ago I missed out on the kickstart plan due to their credit department being closed. Despite the rep emailing a promise that it would be honored the next day, I couldn't get anyone to push it through.

The groupon thing is just another nail in the coffin as far as the expiration goes. Not worth missing out on the promo over a few extra months. Guess I'll signup today.

My fault for trying to argue in the first place. Like many in my family, I have a penchant for arguing the most unnecessary things--doing my best to stop that.

If you add an extra line to an account that was setup prior to 7/13, will those extra lines still get the hotspot feature? I'm sure someone out there has tried adding more lines to a pre-7/13 account after 7/13. I'm aware that additional lines will have the same promotional end-date as the main line, so I'm assuming all lines will have the same terms/features.

I'm fairly sure people have posted confirming that that is the case re the hotspot but could not find the post(s) right now. I would have no doubt about it anyway. That is the plan you have, not some later plan that you never agreed to. Legally, these are separate plans.

For that reason, I would think twice about giving up a hotspot plan early.

I myself am going to probably stick with hotspot enabled plans, which means giving up my Free plan when it expires on April 30. There are other offers out there with hotspots, including Teltik (not unlimited) at $20 or $30, and currently a very high-end Sprint employee Friends and Family plan via a redit poster at $30.

I successfully ported my number into this plan last night. Followed the steps from the link in the wiki, there were a couple hiccups and it took a couple hours but everything's good now.

Porting into Tmobile from Sprint was easy except for the 45 minute wait time. The guy asked what plan I wanted and I just said pay as you go. Less than 10 minutes later and my Sprint service was already removed from my phone.

When I called into Sprint's telesales dept. the first rep was having some type of phone or equipment issue and kept cutting out. I got put on hold while she fixed it then it was good, she took all my info but then as she put me on hold again to have the credit dept. approve me, the call disconnected. The bad part was earlier when she asked me for my contact number I stupidly asked her if she meant the number I was trying to port or the number of the phone I was currently on..and she said the port number is fine. Except it wasn't because it already didn't have any service because of the port to TMobile. Whoops.

So I had to call back and start all over again with a different rep. Luckily there were no mess ups the second time, and restarting the process didn't cause any hang ups.

I'm not sure if the deal is still going today but a piece of advice I want to give that I haven't seen talked about already is make sure they are understanding every number and spelling you give them. Politely ask the rep to repeat what you tell them if they don't do it automatically. You don't want to be disqualified from the deal just because the rep accidentally switched a 4 and a 5 from your SIM or IMEI

I just swapped everything to my wife's name to get a second year last week. We want to get the iPhone XS and I planned on buying unlocked anyways because I don't wanna wait 120 days and then be locked to sprint past 9/30/19. Can I buy a sim free unlocked iPhone XS from Apple on launch and swap it onto my free year lines? I assume so just double checking.

I don't know if they were correct but I called in about if the free year is still active and they said yes. Asked if there was an end date to the promotion and they said January 1st, 2020

there was also a video posted in last few pages where the expiration date was ~7/31
