Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Can I port my verizon number out to Sprint using this deal, then port the number back in to verizon to take advantage of an add a line promotion on Verizon?

Sprint will allow it, yes.

Whether Verizon will treat it as legitimate for any particular Verizon offer, I do not know,

Data point: today I can verify tmo roaming at a relatives house that previously could barely get data. Full signal with 45 down and 9 up on speed test. Signal check pro shows clearwire B4. Using LG G6.

Edit: just noticed my phone's time is showing 5 hours ahead of actual time. Strange!

I am similar on S8+ here in Raleigh. I thought it might be due to installing VoLTE support but hopefully everyone gets it, at least those phones that have band 4 accessible.

Sprint decided to repurpose the Clearwire network name because more phones will already recognize that as qualified for free roaming on Sprint without requiring updates.

Check out my edited post. How weird is that?

Edit. Just did a restart and it showed 8:52 for a split second and then reverted to 3:52, the correct time. Roaming kicked in about 15 seconds later. Time still correct. Welcome to the Twi light zone.😁

Hmm - I guess Sprint has not yet got time-zone correction working on the repurposed parts of the Clearwire network.

Temporarily, you should be able to turn off allowing time correction from the network in Settings. Or just leave it and it should re-correct after leaving the "Clearwire network" band.

  • I ported over a AT&T PREPAID phone number and I am using a Iphone 6 unlocked from Boost Mobile (SD about a year ago)
  • Boy do I miss my ATT Prepaid speeds for Data but I am not paying anything so what the hell
  • They added that equipment protection without asking my I had to call to cancel
  • My only real issue is WiFi Calling, sprint supports it but to date i have not been successful in activating it. I want to use it with Comcast hotpots to fill in the coverage area. Of course the rep had no idea what i was talking about. Opened a ticket for level two support.

This is the message that I receive and in your sprint account WiFi Calling is listed under permissions but it seems grayed out

We are unable to process your request at this time due to account level settings set by your account owner. Please contact your account owner/manager for assistance. - 1348

I was charged $30 activation fee for two lines, a month after activation. Is it normal? I don't see this fee listed anywhere at descriptions page here on SD
They tired to charge me the $30 activation fee at activation i asked if they can wave it the rep said that he would will have to verify on the first or second billing statement

Has anyone tried switching iPhone 7 Plus from AT&T. ?

In listing it says only iPhone 7+ from Verizon can be transported. So I need confirmation before I pay off AT&T and move to Sprint.

Thanks!
Call sprint they will ask for your iemi # to verify compatibility before taking your application

I would never rely on Sprint as my actual carrier, but I wouldn't mind getting this for my jogging music player or "house" phone (essentially a backup).

If I don't already have a phone to bring over to Sprint, though, what's the cheapest non-used option? I'm sure that gone are the days of picking up a pre-paid phone from another carrier and using it for this deal, so what's the cheapest unlocked, new phone that can be readily obtained and used for this deal?
Why bother? A person of your obviously elite stature should never be seen with a cheap spare/backup/beater phone.
I fully understand that your phone calls are far more important than everyone else in this thread.
BTW did I just see you holding up a placard and a really really shiny new phone on the steps of the Supreme Court about 5 minutes ago?

Pay no attention to anything the sales reps say. Mostly they stall on anything in the nature of a refund because they get charged back commission if it is done right away.

It is no longer a Sales issue. They just refer it to Order Support anyway if they do anything.

Instead, chat with support and they will credit it back.

SDers, I am trying to find whether WiFi calling is supported in this plan. I'm using the latest iPhone. Tried calling the Sprint number and have received both Yes and No as answers. I need WiFi calling as signals are not good inside my house.

Can anyone please let me know if WiFi calling is available on this 1 year Free plan?

Definitely! I use it all the time on my S8 and other phones. I do not have an iPhone specifically but it should be fine.
