Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just curious why you have been a Sprint customer for so long with such terrible service. There are three other major carriers to choose from and numerous MVNOs all with pretty competitive pricing. I only tried Sprint again after over seven years because it was free. If they had the same service quality as they did when I first tried them (for less than a month), I would have dropped them in a heartbeat. Luckily for me, they have improved in my area immensely and even have good coverage that was spotty with my former carrier Metro/T-Mobile.
Verizon has the best coverage for my area, but it's over $30/month more. Being able to check Instagram in any basement isn't worth that to me.

Anyone got the activation fee's credited after the first billing cycle automatically? Having a hard time with Sprint non-usa based call center, they claim its not waivable which is ridiculous. Should I just wait for up to 2 billing cycles before calling again? Spending like 30 minutes to explain to them.

It's actually more than 1 year if you signup now. 11/30/2019 plan end date.

All nexus phones are supposed to be compatible so there must be some fine print catches.

I have a Nexus 6 that I had to have them ReSKU due to it being used on Project Fi before. Took forever to find a rep who could get it done. The ticket took 3 business days. Hope that helps though.
You are replying to a post from over a year ago but you do not have to do it that way.
Just do Chat with with Project Fi tech support and they will push the phone back to Sprint Postpaid then and there during the chat. It is supposed to be their responsibility, not Sprint's. Many many people here have done it this way which is the recommended way.

Anyone get charged an adminstrative of $10?

Online chat rep trying to tell me that is part of tax but its clearly labeled "administrative fee" and there is a separate line for tax.

Also, they did the $15 insurance x 4 lines even though the rep specifically told me she removed it when I signed up. Now they said they removed it but it'll reflect in my next bill. I don't want that to get charged

Yes. IF you use WiFi direct, which... unfortunately... generates a new, random SSID and pwd every time you use it. Totally kills the convenience. What I do is USB connect my phone to a Win10 laptop and reshare the PDANet connection using Win10's built-in WiFi sharing. (Your laptop's WiFi has to be able to support this. If not, buy a WiFi card/dongle that does.) If you're not on Win10, there are other solutions. I remember, ages ago, there was a wildly popular piece of s'ware called Connectify that shared your WiFi connection. And it was free. But then, suddenly, it added a ton of new features and became not free. So its popularity took a nosedive. And now, with WiFi built into the OS, there's less of a need for it.
Quote from desi_babu_2010 :
that would be awesome..will look out for it ...if (big if) it comes back

HS is nice to have and i have used it on occasions.
we discussed PDANet+ a few months back.
at that time, my impression was u could only connect via cable (at least on the free plan)

are u saying now , u can connect wireless ?

so phone A has S unlim data (with pda installed)

phone B smartphone with no data (or even a cell # for that matter)

i can connect phone b to a without wires (wi fi)
Yes, you can, and you do not need to do it the way laalaa99stl describes if both devices are Android (or if you are using a windows laptop or PC connecting to an Android phone)). It is much simpler than that.

All you have to do is:
(1) Make sure PDANet+ is installed on both devices (say an Android phone and a Fire HD tablet as my own example - or could be two Android phones as in yours)
(2) On the phone, toggle on "Wifi Direct Hotspot" and push the wps icon
(3) On the tablet, click "connect to a PDANet hotspot"
That's it! No password needs to be entered. It takes only a few seconds to connect and works properly. I do it frequently while away from home and it is not inconvenient at all.

The same should work also in the case of a Windows PC or laptop (running PDANet Desktop) connecting to an Android phone (running PDANet+). Click "Connect Wifi" on the PC in the right click context menu of the PDANet Desktop icon. That should not need a password either.

I use Connectify too at home but you do not need it in the above scenarios.

It is $2.50 per line times 4 lines equals $10. Every Sprint plan (and other carriers too) charges that. It is in all the announcements and disclosures.
