Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm not sure if you have an SSN(which is a must for this plan). But you'll have to do the below steps

- create an account in Google voice and unlock your number for $3. Set a voicemail pin.

- call sprint for credit check, eligibility check and get an account created. Tell them you are porting from bandwidth.com. Ask them the sim card type that your phone will support.

- go to the sprint store and get that sim card for free.

- call sprint again and Complete the sign up.
Thank you will try that today. Just received SSN.

Hi there,

I have just moved to the US and want to talk advantage of this offer. I have my own device (Moto G) which I believe is eligible.

I do not have any existing line in the US. Can I still take advantage of this deal? If I've understood correctly then the answer is YES, but I need to:
1. Get a number to port from Google Voice or Number Barn.
2. Get a compatible sim card from bestbuy or twigby

Is that correct? I'm a little confused about why I need to purchase a sprint sim card as well - then I will have 2!

Help appreciated
If you already have a Sprint SIM that is compatible with your phone and not currently in use, you do not need a second SIM. Sprint SIMs can be reused.

First thing is to be sure your Moto g from overseas is eligible. Sprint and Verizon both use CDMA. It's a quirk specific to these beloved United States.

Thank you for the detailed instructions. Got it for another year.
I followed most of the steps except I paid about $2.95 for digital sim as there is cheaper ones available now. Also, I used t mobile online site (https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prep...wn-device) for porting but this cost me $3.26. one thing I found out was t mobile account number was not the same as phone number in my case but they emailed me the account number when I signed up. FYI, in step 6, sprint rep asked for last four digits of ICCID number.
Currently on one-year free plan with 2-lines, planning to sign-up for another year using a different SSN. Already have two TMo digital SIMs. Planning to sign-up over the upcoming weekend.

Read earlier that wait times for porting-in to TMo with phone agent are 3-5 hours long, but one saves about $3 per line. And then there is option of signing up online, its almost instant, but costs $3.

Couple questions:

1. Anyone has recent experience with TMo phone agents? How long are the wait times?

2. Above link for signing-up online doesn't work. Is there another working link?

TIA.

...... Assuming we still have the 10gb because we signed up when it included it, do you think we'll get bumped up to 50gb ?
Well, good news on that.

We (subscribers who already had the hotspot before it was discontinued for new subscribers) did get the upgrade to the 50 GB Hotspot! I guessed wrong on that and you were thinking right.

It's not false - at least in my case. They did it to me. I bought an iPhone 8 outright and had it completely unlocked. Then when I went to switch after the free 1-year, they told me that they locked my phone to Sprint and I needed to submit a request. It was total BS.
Quote from aokusman :
That phone was not sold as unlocked. An unlocked phone won't be locked by sprint.

I bought my Samsung s9+ unlocked from Samsung, the first carrier I activate is But where are you purchasing it? Are you buying a Sprint phone at full price or from another carrier.

I am pretty sure when I purchase my unlocked s8 and s9+ directly from Samsung, I have no issue swap sim within the first 50 days.
If you are buying an iPhone 8 from Apple store/Best buy I paying full price doesn't necessary mean that you have an unlocked phone.
So please dont get confuse paying full price = unlocked

Quote from semifast :
I believe he's talking about something else. He's talking about a new phone that's never been activated. Even if purchased for full price it does get locked to Sprint for 50 days.
A new phone never get activated doesn't mean unlocked.
He said he has an unlocked phone that got locked. I am trying to clarify so people know that if you buy an unlocked phone from manufacturer, the phone doesn't get locked by Sprint

If your phone is not even unlocked how can you confirm an unlocked phone get locked by Sprint???? Confused

I can confirm it because I bought my samsung s9+ directly from Samsung and it clearly stated that it is unlocked and I dont have problem switch carrier within the first 50 days.

a few weeks ago.
i bought a z2 from BB at the higher "activate later" price. ($160).
(still full price)
i added it to my 1 Y F BYOD plan w/o issue
sprint has locked it for 50 days

perhaps the information i posted was not relevant to the discussion.
of locked v unlocked of a already unlocked phone.

if you're the only person saying something you aren't "confirming" it.

from the little info I've read about the Samsung S9 here, it has some sort of firmware procedure that makes it compatible with different carriers, this isn't how many phones work. I don't believe what IT does with regards to being locked or unlocked applies to every phone ever sold in the history of the world.

on the other hand, the other guy says he got his iphone unlocked..no one knows what he means by got unlocked.

Can this be combined with any cashback/ airline miles offers? Cashback alcoholic lists quite a few, including 25,000 American Airline miles.
