Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So I tried calling T-Mobile Prepaid and they tried to force me to pay $10 Refill. I was under the impression that you could do just $3. In fact, I did that yesterday for $3. They then said that if I wanted to do $3, I would have to provide the IMEI of the phone that I wanted ported. I told them I have a Sprint phone and I don't have a T-Mobile phone to give them. I dealt with a rep and then later with a Manager. Are they correct and I have to do $10? I am going to be porting over 3 other phones and I don't want to pay $10 each.

Yes but all USA S9 are supported now anyway since this week. The branded versions ( any of them) will convert to Sprint branding when you insert a Sprint sim, and so may be better on Sprint now than the unbranded version. Check IMEI just in case.
good to know. so on black friday, if there are good sales, i can buy ANY carrier's S9 and it will work on Sprint? I'd love to do the free year with them.

Just last Saturday, I setup a new TMo Esim with no balance needed nor a phone's imei. The rep never even asked for them, I simply told him I will add a balance card later for a pay as go account when I recieve my "new phone". The call lasted about 10 min in total.

Btw, I called TMo at 877-234-4299 and had them connect me to prepaid, which bypassed the long wait times.

is it mandatory to go through the hard credit hit for getting this phone? While I am ordering this phone through sprint.com, I have to go through mandatory hard check of credit.

A hard credit check for buying a phone? The hard credit check comes when calling the number in the wiki when activating an eligible phone. Calling is the recommended way. Read the wiki.

So I was able to get the last three ported out. The problem I'm running into is getting back to Sprint. I gave them my account number as 1 plus my phone number. They said that it didn't work. They tried it multiple times and stopped on the last time, because it will lock up my account. I called T-Mobile and confirmed it was 1 plus the phone number. Is there a certain amount of time that needs to pass before you go back to Sprint?

When buying a phone direct from Sprint for use on this plan, do not order the phone on Sprint.com. You will get killed on "activation" charges.

Instead, order it along with the plan at the same exact time on the same order by calling TeleSales at 1-866-782-8777
and ask that all activation charges on both the plan and the phone be waived.
Then there will be only one credit check.

(I agree with hodaddy though too that there should be no credit check if buying just the phone).

If you're talking about the Sprint free year of service deal, yes. There is a hard credit check because it is considered a post-paid plan.
