Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I am sorry for confusion.. I have iPhone 6S, just want to get the service from Sprint (one year free). When I am trying to order the Sim from Sprint website.. it is taking me to mandatory credit check
It is trying to sign you up for the plan at the same time.

Probably better to just call 1-866-782-8777 and get more customized service.

But you can also pick up a sim yourself free at most Apple stores before calling if you want.

So I was able to get the last three ported out. The problem I'm running into is getting back to Sprint. I gave them my account number as 1 plus my phone number. They said that it didn't work. They tried it multiple times and stopped on the last time, because it will lock up my account. I called T-Mobile and confirmed it was 1 plus the phone number. Is there a certain amount of time that needs to pass before you go back to Sprint?
From my experience last week, I started my TMo port over to sprint about a half hour later. My TMo number port completed to sprint about 4 hours later. All Sprint asked me for was the TMo account "1-area code-number" and the TMo pin I had chose.

There are a couple of optional cost features that are not great - see the Sprint page for this plan.

Strange as I was just told that I don't qualify for this promotion as I already had it before. I took advantage of this promotion before and it ended in early September. So, I transferred my 5 lines of service to T-Mobile on Sep 22, 2018. It's now Nov 11, 2018, making it over 45 days since I was last a Sprint customer. So, I should qualify again, correct? Anyone else encounter something this like? Any tips on getting past this limitation?

Is there a list of phone models that works with this 1 year free promo that's not listed in the original post? I have read here that other phones *may* work, and I'm looking for a budget phone.

Thanks!

which works well although it is a Sprint phone and so is not listed explicitly. A lot of people are liking it.

What the Sprint offer says is "new customers only." Just ask them to kindly confirm with the Credit Department that Sprint's definition of a new customer eligible for this promo is anyone who has not had an active Sprint account under their SSN for 45 days. They can check with the credit department who will confirm that and remove your SSN from the old account so that the computer will then allow Sales to sign you up.

Wow.. this is still alive.. I got this deal been with Sprint only because of this deal. I already switched back to AT&T. My mom's number could be next?
Actually you can come back yourself after 45 days on your own SSN as well.

Or ask your mom to add you under her SSN this time.

@comintel is right, not good rates. Depending on your needs www.sprint.com/international

good to know. so on black friday, if there are good sales, i can buy ANY carrier's S9 and it will work on Sprint? I'd love to do the free year with them.
Yes that is now correct.

You will have to apply the latest updates after receiving the phone. They can be applied using Samsung Smart Switch PC without access to a carrier.

The phone will also have to have been unlocked by the original carrier as is always the case.

i think that is not fully correct.... he cannot simply buy any carrier's s9 and use it with sprint... first phone has to be unlocked before it can automatically changed to sprint branding by accepting sprint sim... isn't it

All other-carrier phones phones have to be unlocked. That is a separately stated requirement of this plan. I actually put that in there but took it out because I thought it was too obvious.

That would be true for iPhones too but nobody goes around stating it all the time.

But I have added it back. I agree on second thought that you are right that it is better to state it because we have had some posters who had problems activating and it turned out to be because the phone was locked to the original carrier..

You only get charged that if you activate online, which we recommend against in the Wiki.

However, it is in the promotion terms and it says there they will credit it back in a couple of billing cycles and you can use up the credit over time.
