Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

the id process Sprint uses is used by other entities as well. It's easy for criminals to get fake id, not so easy to answer questions about where you've lived and what business relationships you have.
I've had a problem with identity theft before. Ironically, most of the questions are related to that individual now. What a world, huh?

You should be able to locate where that info is coming from and get it all corrected item by item with relevant credit bureaus etc

Lexis-Nexis will send you a giant database dump too and you can go though and correct that. Get this, they will only send it in hard-copy - no machine-readable! I scanned it in though.

I went through that although I did not even have identity theft (at least as far as I know) - just random confusion of similar names etc apparently.

if the credit reporting companies have wrong info on your report you should make them fix it. If they won't, talk to a lawyer. You don't have to accept it. That is also part of the world in this country.

Yes, I've done. I've even disputed a collections account and had it removed. A year later it was added again. It took a lot of effort and patience to fix it.

Regardless, thanks for the tip, I'll walk into a Corp store and try the ID verification process there.

Ah I see.
I agree the state of laxness in the reporting industry is absolutely scandalous.

Of course. I've disputed info on report.
I'd like to add here that a lot of people have reported failing or almost failing the ID verification questions with Sprint. Granted everyone's personal situation is different.

Anyways, thanks for the input. This is off topic so I apologise for cluttering the thread.

Will it work if you're a customer of Republic wireless?
I'm trying to figure out the same thing. It seems there are mixed answers in this thread.
Sprint says my RW number and new unlocked Moto X4's IMEI are eligible for the offer.
But there are a few questions:
  1. Are RW customers eligible?
  2. If not, you would need to port number to an intermediate carrier first.
  3. If we are eligible, how painful will the number porting process be? I've seen reports that it only took an hour, and others that said it took multiple weeks.

I have the 50% teacher discount right now, which I think RW has committed to through at least May 2020. But free is even better than half off...

edit:
actually even in post there are clues.
sprint asked us...and we..dint know
Seems like you didnt seem to understand what I said, few of my family tried to get the deal and they asked the SAME questions to my family and none of us had any idea who they were.I'm asian and they ask me random on people i dont knowlike how old is my friend that I don't even know or which of my friends owns a house in Georgia? None of us have even been there, do you expect us to answer that garbage.

Back when i signed up for verizon they asked us questions about yourself, like where did u live, where have you been or what car do you have.

Beware : when I've opened my new account for the BYOD, there was no mention of insurance being added to the account. So 2 months later I got a bill for 2 month of Insurance and Auto pay was not setup so I have a charge of $15 for insurance and $5 for Bill and $x.xx for Tax. When I called Sprint back they said the first month is MANDATORY to have insurance and you can call in to cancel it.

Please check your First month's bill and if Insurance was added.

Call the Credit Dept direct at 800-639-6116 and explain and they are often able to help. There is a path around this.

I tried to setup online but told me to call customer service.
After moving different departments, just now completed setup of 3 lines for free until Jan 31st, 2020 waived activation, only to taxes and surcharges.
Shipping 3 SIM cards.

Thank you!

Nah they rarely remember to update the dates on those when they get extended.
Currently 1/31/2019 for everybody signing up in the current phase..

Very good!
That advice from the online signup to call Customer service was wrong. You needed to call the number ending in 8777 only. (Their procedures are full of errors). But you worked your way around it nicely!

How easy is it to swap a different device on any of the lines already ongoing under this plan since several months?

Just a device upgrade question. Wanted to see how easy would be to change to another BYOD (a pixel 3 XL) into the plan in place of existing device.

Do I just insert Sprint SIM in new BYOD device or need to call and some magic needs to happen from their CSR?

Thanks!

easy to do via chat only, do not use the word upgrade, use phone swap, old phone died, girlfriend gave me a new phone, etc.

no you cannot just swap the sim card like other carriers

How would that work? sprint agent told me that i can't do another credit pull for 60 days because the same declined info will be pulled up.
