Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I've read several pages of this thread but, haven't seen my particular case addressed. I'm currently part of a sprint family plan in which I'm not the account holder, how would I go about getting just my line on this deal?
Do I need to get my current phone un-locked and number ported to a new carrier or will sprint allow me to open a new account with the phone still being on sprint?
If I do have to port into a different carrier, what's the cheapest/quickest way to do this?
on a serious note.
why i is commendable u read several pages of this thread....it is really isnnt necessary

best is to read just the wiki...

all the info, is there

but to summarize..assuming u want to keep ur number...its simple
port out to TM..port back into S in your name.
the name on the accounts dont have to match.
all that is needed is account # and pin

Congratulations on getting done what you wanted!
There are some unique problem Sprint has in Florida because of band conflicts at the international border.
I guess the seller of the prepaid card from a year ago now is trying to get his commission. If he dont add money, I guess he doesnt get paid.... thats how they sell the sims on AMZ so cheap

People have tried. You cannot do that yet because Samsung has not yet released "brand switching" for Note 9. It should be a few more months. Until then your other-branded Note 9 will not pass the IMEI tester. S9 is ok now though. We have discussed this a lot. Samsung does not release brand switching / BYOD until the better part of a year (not a full year though) after a phone model is released.

Of course Sprint updates its checkers to accept all other brand IMEI's immediately once this occurs (based on Samsung's update).

Awesome question. Not dumb all. That's how to learn.

The wiki is on first page of this thread.
Summarizes all the key information for this deal.
It can be updated modifed by anyone.

Good luck.

Ask questions if you have them, after you read wiki of course.
Thanks!!!

I know the wiki says you can upgrade after 120 days but MySprint app is telling me upgrade via flex lease is not available until Nov 2020. Can I still do flex lease after 120 days?

No, they removed the ability to do flex leases on this plan when it was revised for new subscribers in July. At least, that is what was posted on reddit. If anyone believes otherwise, please post.

You are right that 416Q was for the X and the 8.

If you read across the full line for the new phones, either 516TQ or 416TQ is fine. Sprint sells 516TQ for BYOD but Apple uses 416TQ in the phones and gives them out but either is fine.
I have pixel xl 2. Received 416q sim. Didn't update carrier settings and couldn't activate.
Went to store...said the 416tq was the right sim. They get the sim...input my imei...scan the SIM card....system says sim not compatible with device and stops the swap. Sprint tells me to switch my phone.

I drove back to Verizon store and after 3 hours...I'm back to Verizon. Sprint was useless.

Stores are inexperienced with BYOD issues (especially franchises which are completely useless, if you went there).

We probably could have solved the problem quickly if you had posted here. Likely all it required was the right reset and settings combinations. There are people here who are very good at that. And I am thinking of people like edog11 and others, not myself, by the way.

Also we look up sim cards correctly. 416TQ was wrong for Pixel XL 2. 416TQ is very new and I do not believe it was even released at the time Pixel XL 2 was.

416Q was correct in the first place. It probably only required a few adjustments on the handset.

People assume that Sprint reps know more than people here and that is simply not the case.

Unlike at Verizon, Pixels were never sold by Sprint, so stores have never seen them. A lot of inexperienced staff go by word-of-mouth knowledge and "trying things" and guesses, instead of looking them up properly.
