Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

No, they removed the ability to do flex leases on this plan when it was revised for new subscribers in July. At least, that is what was posted on reddit. If anyone believes otherwise, please post.
Thanks. I was under impression that it was possible after 120 days based on the talk with the phone sales rep when I joined this promo. That's disappointing.

My first year of BYOD is coming to an end next month 01/19. What's the best/easiest method to port out and port back in? I've read that I can use my current SIM card when porting back in using the same phone & number. I just need some help/wisdom porting out successfully before trying to port back in using my wife's ssn

pm if necessary

A Sprint rep said it will be eligible for upgrade as flex lease after 120 days. The date in app will change around that time as well.

Has Sprint started supporting the eSim? They had advertised it having working in December this year... anyone know?

THanks,

Stores are inexperienced with BYOD issues (especially franchises which are completely useless, if you went there).

We probably could have solved the problem quickly if you had posted here. Likely all it required was the right reset and settings combinations. There are people here who are very good at that. And I am thinking of people like edog11 and others, not myself, by the way.

Also we look up sim cards correctly. 416TQ was wrong for Pixel XL 2. 416TQ is very new and I do not believe it was even released at the time Pixel XL 2 was.

416Q was correct in the first place. It probably only required a few adjustments on the handset.

People assume that Sprint reps know more than people here and that is simply not the case.

Unlike at Verizon, Pixels were never sold by Sprint, so stores have never seen them. A lot of inexperienced staff go by word-of-mouth knowledge and "trying things" and guesses, instead of looking them up properly.

Pixel XL 2G SIMOLW416Q 760492035279 760492043656 CZ2114LWQ 19962040849 SIMGLW416Q CZ4114LWQ 854798005125 SIMOLW416Q
https://s4gru.com/forums/topic/78...ity-chart/
Sprint had sent me that SIM (SIMOLW416Q ) the first time. I tried everything. Reset all network settings. The *#*#72786*#*# which reset some settings. Even got boost mobile sims and called the tech desk and again tried the 416Q SIM that was in boost kit and their system said it was not compatible with my phone.

I did not see any other settings to change short of a factory reset. I was at an actual sprint store and 2 different ppl worked to help me without fail. The techs on the phone said they had run out of options and sent me to store. the phone wasn't downloading the settings and was stuck in a "configuring network please wait " status which I beleive was supposed to download APNs.

So according to the port out section we don't need a t-mobile physical sim card?

Can anyone confirm if this deal will work if i purchase a cheap iphone (i.e. 5c or 6) from Cricket, Straight Talk, Metro PCS or Simple Mobile?

Or would you please advise what is the cheap option to get an new unlocked phone to use for this Sprint deal?

You should have asked here in my opinion.

You still can if you want to try again.

Solutions are often not obvious. You should have tried a factory reset.

There is one correct sim for this phone and I would not agree to "try" anything else.

People here have solved problems just like that in many cases.

These tech. support channels are not experts on handsets they have never seen.

In my opinion people have grossly exaggerated expectations for tech support and store support. That is not the way experienced users go about solving problems. For BYOD, it is basically up to you to do most of the work.

Pixels were "Verizon exclusives" so sure, go to Verizon if you want hand-holding. That phone works better on Verizon too. (Pixel 3 is more universal).

If you went to a franchised store then expectations were nil to begin with. You should only go to Corporate owned stores.

Does anyone know why I now have 50gb of hotspot on the BYOD plan? It used to be 10GB, I never use it anyways. Just found that weird since they took that feature off the BYOD plan.

Because you subscribed before Jul 13.

Existing users are never affected by changes to the plan offer that remove services.

Everyone who still has a hotspot got it boosted to 50 GB recently.

I'm due for a renewal at the end of May. I'm just wondering if I should rejoin prior to May to be on the safe side?

You have to port in a number. It is a requirement of the offer (see Wiki).
