Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It is compatible with the GSM TMobile side of Ting only, not the CDMA Sprint side.

Otherwise it would say 'Your phone is compatible on both GSM and CDMA networks"

To verify, check it in Tello, which is CDMA only.

You should have bought model A1865 which supports both CDMA and GSM. AT&T customers can get it on their AT&T account by buying from a retail dealer such as Best Buy.

See https://www.techwalls.com/iphone-...fferences/
Thanks. You are right. Not comparable with Tello . Called Apple customer care.. they are ok to swap for A1865.
Hopefully it works with Sprint

Wow that's great news that Apple will do that for you!

For the benefit of the many others who find themselves in the same boat, how widely do you think they would be willing to do that? Did you just buy it? Did you buy it directly from Apple?

My phone and info said I am eligible......But When I was trying to checkout by buying a new SIM.....It did not work....gave me an error mesg....asking me to call them back....When I called back....I was transferred to TeleCell (?) and the lady was asking me sensitive personal info (SSN, DOB, address.....everything about me).....I was not comfortable to give all of of this over the phone (I gave it to online form...no problem in that)....so I disconnected. Is everyone facing the same situation and giving all the personal info over the phone?

Buy the sim kit for $2.99 here: https://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/...=affiliate

It is good for all phones.

When it comes, call the number ending in 8777 to sign up (see Wiki for the full number and more info including possible free sources of sims).

You will still have to give credit info but this is a better way to do it because you are calling the right sales department. The route you took leads to the wrong call center.

Chat has no current information on this plan and is just looking at some old document from last summer looking at an end-of-savings date a year later.

They do not even understand the difference between end-of-savings-date and last signup date (which will not be announced that far ahead, if at all). You just get pure garbage and guesswork from them.

Our Wiki has far better information.

There is absolutely no way Sprint would plan marketing programs that far ahead either. It looks as if they sometimes are deciding only a day or two ahead of time whether to extend it each time.

has anyone had any success porting out from mint mobile?
I have spent 3+ hours on chat with sprint and also walked into store and talked to them for an hour.
We have tried 3 SIM cards and all "activate", and the number ports over; and phone is not locked.
However, the phone (iPhone 6s) will not get service. Upper left corner actually says
sprint for a few seconds and then flips to say "no service". Phone worked fine on mint.
Nobody at sprint can figure it out. Neither online customer service or in store can solve this. Could it be something to do with porting in from prepaid carrier? I have asked sprint this same question and everyone I have talked to says this isn't the issue
but of course they cannot tell me the problem. Looks like I will be going back to mint.
Unless anybody has any suggestions.
Thanks!

Happened to a few others here, it's the activation policy of your phone. It has to be reset to.... I forgot... There was a post of that here recently. Apple customer care will take care of that.

Final update, I gave in and bought a new phone. Service is working now. Finally able to log in to my account and already a long list where I have $41 in charges. $21 for 2 weeks of Sprint Complete (I wasn't able to cancel), $10 for a call to Canada and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand.

I'm out of energy so just sucking it up and paying, but worth noting for everyone else that you need to go into addons and enable international calling to make calls to mexico/canada free.

I'll definitely be switching off Sprint once my 'free' plan is up. Really a joke company imo.

Correction, you can't enable the international calling. But I chatted with the rep and they gave me 6 months of free international (shrug)

Get a GSX report for .99 off eBay and it will be easier to diagnose. I had the same issue and its because I had activation policy 10 unlock when I needed multimode unlock.
