Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

That stinks. I get the annoyance of read the wiki comments but I also get the other side of it where one answer leads to the same questions over and over. I have been on the receiving end of those posts. I went over the wiki myself and copied out only the parts that would affect me before calling. I assumed I'd have to call a few times and hang and call again a few times. I got lucky, really lucky, to get a rep who was nice, helpful, not too thick of an accent ( have a bad ear for that, which sux), and she stayed on the line all the way thru the port. Even called me on the line to make sure everything worked perfectly. In fact, it went so well I was worried that I was signed up on the wrong plan.
Wiki was collected over a 1.5 years. By now I would say that 60% is wrong, duplicate or obsolete. I signed up online and reused my old sim card. All went easy and smooth. paid 2.99. It took me 5 min for initial signup, then wait 6h for shipping confirmation and then activation 3 minutes and actual port-in took another 15 minutes.

The first and second posts in the thread are obsolete and full of errors, but are not part of the Wiki.

Did you realize that? I suspect not. I agree it is a totally unsatisfactory situation to still have the first two posts filled with obsolete and wrong information but to say 60% of the Wiki itself (the third post) is wrong would be a huge insult to the people who have worked so hard on it and totally overhauled it, and I think would be totally wrong.

If we want to fix the problem, let's do it! Let's work on getting SlickDeals permission to update the first two posts. But let's not disparage the positive work of volunteers.

If you do find specific errors in the Wiki (the third post), please post them specifically as a courtesy rather than making blanket negative statements.

So I've got an active sprint account under the 3/30/2020 expiration date with 1 line. Yesterday I had 2 lines and ported out to cricket and realized cricket is not going to work out. I'd like to bring back that line to this sprint account. I've already got a sprint SIM card and of course the open active account. Can I bring that line back over without issue? Or is there a waiting period of bringing the same number back and forth? Thanks

It will be fine. I have done things like that.

They may ask about it to understand if it is an error bouncing back and forth but you can just explain you tried Cricket and it was no good.

And to just add to comintel's post above. You should be fine in doing so and you can use the same sprint sim that was previously associated with the phone. Just punch in the IMEI to this checker which is also listed near the top of the wiki.

Im trying to activate my sim card.

from the packaging itself, it says i have to activate it at this link: sprint.com/bringyourdevice

So i filled out the information, then on the 2nd step it asked me to choose a plan, i cant find the free one, it only allows me to choose the basic plan or the higher plan.

can someone help me to activate this?
I assume you tried the online link for this promo and passed the credit check. In either case, you should call the number ending in 8777 as listed in the wiki ( first page, third post). Review the wiki so you are fully prepared when phoning in.

Sprint sims can always be reused and never expire.
What's more, the system caches the last ICCID used for a given IMEI, so it greatly reduces error potential to keep using the same one for a given IMEI. When you sign up again, no change need be made.

Yeah, I know Sprint sim can be reused. The post says use the old sim when signing up online. I thought you have to order a new sim when signing up online. Then switch out in the account page to use old sim.

Oh I see what you mean - emphasis on the online signup order process in that case.

But they do not track what sim they send you so you can just keep on using the old one.

The Sprint system always behaves the same, regardless of a nonsensical order process that sends out sims unnecessarily, of which it is totally unaware.
