Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If Google Voice wasn't so unreliable, I'd have done this deal and repeated it only to get back some of the money that Sprint gouged out of me 10-15 years ago...

The hassle of switching numbers or otherwise possibly having my number held hostage by unforeseen porting issues (been there, done that with H2O), overrides my desire of clawing back money from Sprint...

Lot of knowledgeable people here maybe I can get some quick help, haven't found an answer searching the net.

Used to be able to text key words to 5 digit numbers for radio contests and would get a bounce back message saying I was entered. That all seemed to stop when I ported out and back in on new account. Im not sure what the sudden problem is. Haven't tested every phone but it does seem to be on multiple phones even on separate accounts.

I did block 3rd party purchases and tried unlocking them for a fix and no go. Premium sms is set to always allow.

Just can't figure out if it's on the phones (Moto g5)or the account. I'm leaning towards an account setting as it seemed to change when I ported out back in.

Warning: i got into this plan and noticed, Sprint cannot do voice and data simultaneously. Phone will lose internet connection while on call. It is really annoying while driving as maps won't work if you are on phone call. You cannot check email while talking to someone. It's not worth it if you need to use data while talking over the phone.
Hi.. it's wokring fine on iPhones now .. able to have calls and data working simultaneously.

Settings < Cellular < Cellular data options < enable LTE< select voice and data option... and just restart the phone.. that's it now you can have both data and voice working at same time with Sprint

Have you tried update profile and update prl. Others can chime in also. And if all else fails, try calling the porting Dept. They are knowledgeable and may be able to reset the lines.

You should read the wiki. If you ordered your sim then wait till you get it and call the 8777 number listed in the wiki

Just ported an iPhone 8 off Sprint to T-mobile and back on to Sprint yesterday morning. Didn't really notice this wasn't working until this morning. Checked all the permissions on sprint.com and looked good. Did a chat with advanced tech support. They did something behind the scenes had me power cycle the phone then dial one of those ## numbers to update my phone. Instantly a dozen messages came through. Maybe someone has a faster DIY fix, but that seemed to work for me.

What did you tell them in chat? I thought about chatting with Sprint but I just don't know how to describe it or what words to use hoping they'll understand what I'm talking about

That I was not receiving short code messages. YMMV, but it may try to walk you through some self serve fixes first. Just play along.

You can set it up exactly how you like it by sending setup messages to 9999

https://community.sprint.com/t5/S...a-p/982282

Sure you can call support but it is best to do it as much as you can selectively yourself.

It is a powerful customization feature that allows you to avoid getting spam sms but still enable selectively any SMS senders that you do want.

This has come up many times and eventually everyone was able to set it up. The 9999 dialogues are quite tricky and confusing at first. They do give you step by step feedback.

I just ported over my Google Voice number this morning... I'm told it'll be 6p Central Time before it's active.

It took a few phone calls to get it done, but I'm encouraged.

I just activated and setup my brand new Samsung Galaxy S8+ (that I bought back in Dec using a paid act) on this BYOD plan. I have Otterbox Symmetry Series case on and a Alpha Glass type Tempered Glass Screen Protector on. The top right corner of the screen is bugging me so seeking some feedback here. On the top right corner of the screen along the edge I see a small arc/semicircle which is very visible in the white background. Is it some setting or something else? All the other 3 corners don't show this. I am attaching some screen shots here. If anyone has any feedback regarding this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

So I see!

I do not know what that is.

I do not have it on my S8+ at all. I just looked.

Thank you. I will try factory reset and see if it goes away. Otherwise, I will have to work with Samsung for the support on this.

I assumed I'd have to call a few times and hang and call again a few times. I got lucky, really lucky, to get a rep who was nice, helpful, not too thick of an accent ( have a bad ear for that, which sux), and she stayed on the line all the way thru the port. Even called me on the line to make sure everything worked perfectly. In fact, it went so well I was worried that I was signed up on the wrong plan.
When I first called almost a year ago, I got a very friendly overseas CS rep. Almost too friendly! He asked me where I was from and if I was single. LOL. He did tell me he would call back in about an hour after setting up my account. Waited a few hours and called back and got another rep who also was very friendly. She didn't pressure me at all when I declined the protection plan. I am very grateful for this plan and for Sprint. I am just beyond shocked that there aren't more people clamoring for this plan or why anyone is paying Spring regular prices.

On a side note: Another alternative for people who want to port in numbers to this deal/any other deal/or port out of Sprint for 45 days is to go to freeupmobile. They have a totally free plan of 1000 combined texts/minutes but no data. The SIM and plan is free but you would pay for shipping for the SIM which I believe is $2.99 but I may be wrong. Runs on AT&T network.
