Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Correct although I prefer to use Chat.

Or better yet start it off on the Dashboard.

But any of those will work.

I want to share my experience while trying to get the issue noted above addressed.

The issue is caused by dead pixels. This was right out of the box.

I bought this phone back in December 2018, but just opened the box in mid Februrary. When I registered my phone at Samsung.com, it showed my warranty had already expired back in August 2018.

How is this possible that a brand new device NIB (new in box; unopened) which was purchased in December 2018 had the warranty already expired in August 2018? 1) May be someone bought it new and returned it unopened? Bestbuy resells unopened devices as new again, but the clock is already ticking for the warranty based on the original purchase? They need to fix the glitch if this is the reason for what happened with me. Or is it that the warranty information is based on when Samsung ships it to Bestbuy or carriers? If the phone sits on their shelf for months or years, you can have a situation that I am in? I don't know which one is the case for my situation.

I needed to use my warranty to address the dead pixels issue. I have spent many hours working with Samsung customer service to have my warranty reset based on my purchase date. It is still a work in progress as of right now.

I stopped by a local Bestbuy store and spoke to the manager. I called Bestbuy.com customer service trying to explain this issue in the hope that it never happens again either with me or anybody else. I am tyring to reach out to their corporate office so they can help me investigate how this happened in the first place and how to make sure it doesn't happen again. So far, no success.

The following parts will be replaced, as per the local customer service center, to address my issue. GH82-14005A, GH82-14072A. It seems the battery is also getting replaced as part of this (based on the part description).

Another headache while talking to the customer service @Samsung.com. When you register the device in your acct at Samsung.com, it uses the IMEI (Hex). The Bestbuy invoice has MEID (DEC), which they also label it as IMEI instead of listing as MEID (Dec) to avoid confusing people who are tech illiterate (Samsung Cust Serv reps should know this). I had to take a snapshot of my box and text it to them to clear this up. IMEI is not listed on the box. MEID (Hex) which has one less digit than the IMEI and MEID (Dec) and ICCID are on the box, etc.

What a nightmare experience this has been so far.

After a week of hassle, I finally got my Samsung warranty reset based on the purchase date. I had them open an escalation ticket (opened when i requested to talk to a supervisor). Good bye dead pixels.

you also need a phone to go with that sim card.....and decent credit.....
I have an Iphone 8 from xfinity unlocked. I checked its IMEI and it is eligible. Now I am paying about $5/month on Xfinitymobile without using much data. How much will the fee from Sprint be likely? I am debating to switch if no much data is needed.

Yes you see you would have roamed to TMobile if it been an S8 for example, or many iPhones (assuming you have roaming enabled).

On the latter models, it will switch from Sprint to Tmo whenever necessary to preserve LTE.

That verifies that that model has gimped roaming for now. Hopefully to be fixed I am sure..........
LTE Roaming Enabled is checked/enabled. Carrier Aggregation is enabled. Band41 Mimo is enabled. As is Band25Mimo. No idea of what those mean! Should I disable any of these?

I'm still stuck on 1xRTT so you are correct this unlocked phone cannot roam to Tmobile yet. I'm going to switch to Sprint in a month full time, so hopefully they get this to work on Tmobile when roaming with Sprint or I guess I'm buying a Sprint branded phone. I'll lose a few hundred with the latter.

i also have a spare line on xfinity, data turned off so i'm paying like $4 per month just for taxes and fees. i pay sprint almost the same price per line, with unlimited talk, text and data. most important thing is to ask around if you have good network coverage on where you are going to use Sprint. i am surprised actually on their network, i think they have improved a super lot. been enjoying their free plan for 21 months now.

Data is free and unlimited. Total monthly fees are 4-5 dollars with autopay. There is a zip code chart at the bottom of the wiki (first page, 3rd post). Read the wiki for valuable tips.

All plans now include free unlimited roaming on TMobile - this is the new Sprint-TMobile roaming agreement.

My Moto G4 was locked to Ringplus 2 years ago and I asked Sprint tech support. They said that I have to go to a store to put their phone in the database? I went to a store and the store person won't even let me do it. It says that the device cannot be added at this time and "may need to ReSKU between phone brands."

I just gave up, I decided to get the cheesy Orbic Wonder from Bestbuy and use this instead.

Orbic Wonder isn't great but it works. We keep one around here because it'll go on any carrier.

Too bad you can't find Karl around Sprint somewhere to unlock the Moto for you. I'm convinced he's in a Sprint cubicle somewhere
