Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anyone port out with t-mobile today? Website works but I'm still waiting. Got this message on the order submission confirmation page:

It hasn't been two hours yet, so don't mind my antsiness.
did this every end up working out? I was able to do the same. Been about an hour, and spoke to someone on the phone who said it was on its way and gave me the standard 24 hour language. However when I did it for my original line yesterday, the CSR told me it had failed and just signed me up over the phone.

Has anyone tried to combine the discount offered by their employer with this? For instance my employer offers a 23% discount through "Sprint Works". I guess 23% of 0 is 0 but just wondered if anyone has tried this.

My experience was somewhat painless.
1. Tried to port from Sprint to T-Mobile, as my free year was just about up. Port didn't work, and like the others above had to wait for tmobile. Tried calling them multiple times, yet the port didn't happen and I kept getting run around. I eventually gave up and did a port to google voice for $20, which took 24 hours. Tmobile customer service is JUNK. I submitted an FCC complaint and their executive assistant to the president (or something) reached out.
2. Once porting to google, my sprint service disconnected. I then called Sprint to start the port back in. Talking to them took about an hour. Yet they were very professional and knew exactly what to do. Used my wife's SS # and she had to be part of the call to due the credit verification. I even used the same Sprint sim card number
3. They transferred me to some special porting area that essentially stayed on the phone while they initiated the port and my phone was ready to use in 5 min.
4. the $15 sprint protection plan was added, so I needed to go to chat to have it removed. Was easy to do.

All in all, worth it for a free'ish' cell service. Thanks to those that developed the wiki!

Followed instruction on WiKi and tried to port my main number from Sprint to Tmobile. Paid $3 and print out the account # and noted down the PIN. The Tmobile port-in was a nightmare. Called T-mobile port-in department and they created a new account for me from scratch. Now, port-in was done today. Called Tmobile and was told the account # was texted to my line, which I could not receive it, since it is digital SIM. I am in the panic mode, how do I find out my prepaid account #?

Not to anticipate other responses but people have posted that this did not work.

Most likely is : 1 plus phone number, a few people verified this. If this does not work , you have to call until you find some nice rep to let you know, or go to T store to ask. Hope this helps.

I've had a few people ask me about this on my eBay listing, too. I've been recommending buyers to not use digital ICCIDs for port-ins, as there's too much potential for disaster.

Fortunately, T-Mobile does offer existing customers replacement SIMs via mail. I'm assuming the retail stores probably charge for them (I've personally never tried asking for one as an existing customer). You'd probably want to make up some excuse for "losing" the SIM card (kid was playing with the phone and lost the SIM, etc.), because T-Mobile is probably going to be less than helpful if you tell them you activated service on a non-existent SIM card.

It remains to be seen after April 4.

Guesses are divided.

I think so, some others think not necessarily.

Why does it take more than a day to port out of Sprint? You can do it any time, then immediately reactivate by porting in to her account once it is live. See the Wiki for how to port out to a temporary account on another carrier and then back in to an account on this plan..

As a matter of fact you can do it right now within a couple of hours if you want by having her use your phone (after port out) to open her new account under her SSN, then add her phone later when she gets it
. It does not matter which phone goes on first.
Actually it can make a difference which phone goes on first.

When I started our BYOD plan back in October of 2018, the first phone was one used by our adult daughter who is no longer living at home. That was the only one ported in at the time the account was set up. The next day when I called to port in the phones used by my wife and myself the CSR insisted on calling or sending a verification code to the one phone that was on the account. Our daughter was at work with her phone in her locker, and turned off. The CSR refused to send the code or call any other number. I had to hang up and call back that evening when she was here to get the code for me to use. The CSR would not just accept the PIN on the account, my SSN, or anything else.

When I called back I was sent the code and when I ported in another phone/number last week I was sent one again.

I would recommend calling to port in the other phones when you have access to the verification code if the CSR insists on sending one before making the changes to the account.

Of course, as with almost everything else, YMMV.

Has anyone gotten confirmation that this deal is actually ending on 4/4? I'm only 5 months in so I'd really like to avoid porting out and back in to extend this deal.

yeah i read the whole thing, i'm not sure it it's up to date b/c the most relevant answer to my question was:

and both of those models no longer show up on the eligible list. i managed to find the imei for an lg g5 someone was reselling on ebay and entered it into the sprint tester and it said the model was not compatible... i was just hoping to get a cheap second phone to use as my work cell. at this point, i'm thinking the free (crappy) coverage isn't worth the hassle and doubt, but i don't know.
Go with the phones I recommended. Go with the seller I recommended. You should be fine.

Did you not read the wiki and the article posted? No one here works for sprint or has any inside information.

Create an online account on Tmobile. It only requires Ph# and PIN. Once you are logged in, you can get your account#. Good luck

That's true, but in this case, getting her onto the plan before the potential cutoff date seems to me to be the more significant consideration. The phone availability issue can be dealt with much more easily. I agree it is worth keeping in mind though.

Mine was for refund of an overpayment but other people have activation fee credits as well.

Immediate Charges Accrued $4.93
Feb 03 Refund Check Mailed $4.93
Total Immediate Charges Accrued $4.93

edog11 has pointed out that proration is not applicable for the final month. I have corrected this post to clarify that it was an over-payment, not a proration.
Thanks for clarifying comintel

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this, but I signed up and ported in my first line about 2 weeks ago and on my plan it currently says the promo ends 1/31/20 for me. Does that sound right?

$5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (up to $60/line value free with AutoPay until 1/31/20)
