That's a modem/router combo. Never, ever buy a modem/router combo. Always buy those two devices separately. Set-up takes a few more steps but it's worth it.

Yep. I have been running on LEDE for several months.

However, it can be tricky to flash 3rd party builds, as the new version of ea8500 may not have the pins to connect ttl cable. You have to solder them yourself. Even for the old version with firmware after ​build 148206 ( something like this number), you have to disassemble it and use ttl cable to flash.

Anyway, it's a good router.

I got mine on the eBay deal for more.. solid sofar. My lappy needs resetting every now n then but that's a laptop wifi card issue not router
