I live in an area that got 95% coverage and had a nice view through proper glasses. I feel sorry for anyone who tried to look at anything other than totality without proper filter/glasses -- a small percentage of the sun's available light is still extremely bright. At that coverage it dimmed significantly but still fairly well lit outside.

The eclipse due in April of 2024 will pass over a family farm in Indiana. Hopefully I will be able to check that out with my then-7 year old, now 7 month old daughter.

Was too cloudy here to see anything. Ended up just watching the whole NASA stream on twitchTV. showed totality in 3 different cities.

sort of makes me regret not making the trip south to see it. my friend wanted to go but it was like 6 hrs each way to Carbondale. probably make the trip in 2024, have friends/family in indiana

My location had 97-99% and it was cloudy. But with the glasses on, I could see the moon covering the sun though the clouds just fine.

I live in the 97+% range, and we drive to Sparta, TN, which was right on the totality center line.

It was worth it. The difference between almost totality and totality was stark. My Hooligans will remember this for the rest of their lives, as will I and my wife and my girlfriend.

It was a good day.
