Be prepared for S-L-O-W if you buy this guy without upgrading the spinner. It is an absolute dog. Even with a faster drive the CPU is slow AF. Great for web browsing and not much else.
I upgraded to an SSHD and promptly sold it, at a loss, to an older couple who were thrilled to ugprade from a Core 2 duo iMac.
Nice screen I guess... at least it's 1080p. I think the only 'modern' iMac worse than this is the 1.4ghz mid 2014.
It's really not hard to exceed the specs on this iMac for $800. An i3 2100 is faster[cpubenchmark.net]. I'm not kidding. I was prepared to be underwhelmed but this thing is painfully slow. There are better deals that pop up on Craigslist for iMac models that blow this away in terms of performance and value.
Only Web Browsing?! Hardly. You can do a lot of development work on a machine like this. I am doing JavaScript dev work on an iMac from 2009. I would gladly upgrade to this thing.

Which CPU do you have? There are plenty of iMac Core 2 Duo models that are measurably faster in a ton of benchmarks than this guy. And, I hate to break it to you, but the hardware requirements for JavaScript dev aren't much. I can write javascript in notepad on a WfW 3.11 486.
This might be an upgrade but is it an $800 worthy upgrade? Benchmarks indicate otherwise.
I'm not bagging on Apple or iMacs, just this configuration. This isn't a subjective argument on my part. The packaging is pretty but that CPU and hard drive are just slow.
The 5250U is an ultra low power CPU intended for netbooks. Yeah, it's an i5 in the same way a 1974 Mustang II with an 88hp 2.3l is a Mustang.
