Android Oreo will be available once the phone boots and on a network. Moto Messenger App might go south, just install the Google Messenger app and all is good. Neither of my kids could receive text messages from me after the Oreo update.
Get a case for it too. It's way to thin in the hand and is meant to have a mod attached to make it a normal feeling phone. We got these TUDIA Moto Z2 Force Case, TUDIA Slim-Fit HEAVY DUTY [MERGE] EXTREME Protection / Rugged but Slim Dual Layer Case for Motorola Moto Z Force (2nd Generation), Moto Z2 Force Droid Edition and fit well.
Overall, the kids are happy with this phone. It has a flash on both sides of the phone...
I think my Moto G5 plus phone sound through the ear piece is better than theirs. Both models charge insanely fast with the provided charger.

Sure it might have ugly bezels, but it has the best processor available and AMOLED screen. The moto mod stuff sounds kind of fun too.
