TV Brightness: Brighter
Picture Mode: Normal; for Roku apps, use Vivid
Advanced Picture Settings:
Dynamic Contrast: high; for Roku apps, turn off
Backlight: 100
Brightness 42
Contrast 100
Sharpness 66
Color 55
Tint 0
Color Temperature cool
Depending on your room, tweak from here. Some may prefer a normal color temperature to cool, but it will decrease the peak brightness and whites of the set.

Considering that this is also tax free for almost everyone and the lowest price the 55" has been since holiday sales, I really cannot begin to understand the down votes.

It's the seller. Use a safe form of payment, and inspect the set closely as it's yours after delivery. You'll want a third party warranty, preferably a Costco Squaretrade warranty.

Yep, I'll gladly pay the tax and an extra $29 for 5 years of warranty at costco. Especially since there have been numerous issues users have mentioned with this tv throughout all the tcl threads on here. But if you don't have a costco membership or don't buy warranties, this would be the deal to get.
