Insignia batteries are fine. It's not like your smoke detector won't notify you if the battery is low. It'll either work or it won't - worst thing that couple possibly happen is it would die a little quicker.

Yeah, smoke detectors are my my use for 9V. And I've gotten tired of trying to figure out which one is beeping so now I change them all at when one starts to beep (think its safer too). This is a great deal compared to what I payed at the store.
