Ftr, $750 is pretty reasonable for these specs.
*This isn't designed to be a gaming device so much as a portable multimedia device. So comparing it to a device with a dedicated GPU kind of makes your point moot.
Even a throttled 2700u at 15w setting (vs 45-50w Intel +mx150) performs just a bit slower than the intel/ mx150. An unthrottled (25w or 35w is possible) Ryzen outperforms the mx150 at less power. So even a laptop build with insufficient cooling (or intentionally lowered power @ 15w) will be on par with the Intel/ mx150, and at a lower price.
In short, it depends on the quality of the thermal disipation & power setting of the Ryzen 2500u/2700u which is set by the mfgr (although a Dell model allowed the user to switch between 15w & 25w config in the bios) . But, no matter the configuration, the Ryzen consumes less power.

This laptop connected to USB type-C dock would be an awesome work laptop.
Then again it depends on what you do for work. For some jobs, it may not provide enough power like say a true certified workstation.
Um this is a pc...

The ram is not soldered, there are two slots and the 12gb configuration operates in dual channel mode (for the 1st 8gb).
It does not have pen support.
The screen is IPS. The viewing angles, color, and brightness seem fine.
The graphics performance is adequate for light gaming at 720p. I've played Overwatch at 720p (full frame scaling) medium details with high textures and never saw the frame rate drop below 59-60 fps.
The bios is highly configurable. I've never seen a bios with this many options. You can dedicate frame buffer to the gpu (up to 2GB) and it has configurable wattage settings for the cpu package from (if I recall correctly) 11 watts all the way up to 45 watts. You will not want to tinker with that setting higher than 25 watts unless you modify the cooling solution since it will throttle at times under load at 15 watts and will often throttle at 25. That being said, after reapplying the thermal compound and adding several copper shims to the heatsink and pipe assembly, I can run the system at 25 watts with zero throttling and it runs quite well, and 35 watts does too, if at the upper end of what I would consider workable (80 degrees) under heavy cpu and gpu load. The heatsink mod is very easy to do. It took about 5 minutes and the copper shims fit into the case nicely. Also, the heatsink assembly is a discrete unit. It would be easy to replace if needed.
The ram is overclockable which would dramatically improve gpu performance without adding very much additional strain on the cpu. I haven't been brave enough to try overclocking the ram (I have underclocked to make sure it works) but there are settings in the bios for up to ddr4 3000 (or more, I can't recall exactly). At DDR4 2400 I would expect any increase in memory bandwidth to offer a near linear increase in performance.
Overall I would recommend this laptop at this price. The only two drawbacks I see are that the motherboard doesn't offer any additional storage options and the battery life is nothing special.
Oh, really? Last I checked a PC stood for Personal Computer, which if anything describes a laptop even more than a desktop (what they actually call it)
