This is only $0.15 more than a +100 Frontpage deal in April which required a coupon code. I have been watching this item for a day or two and the price keeps dropping!

I bought this drone about a year ago for $30 and it has been worth every penny. I never flew a drone before buying this one and at this price, it is a great starter drone with the added benefit of including a camera... not a great camera, but still fun to be able to take photos and videos. The drone is very resilient as I have crashed it many times, even some hard landings on pavement, and it still keeps flying. It is fairly lightweight, so wind can be an issue, but when it is still, the drone is super stable. I fly it in the house sometimes and it doesn't drift... very easy to control once you get the hang of drone flying.

buyer beware: i lost my last x5c exactly after 10 sec. it flew up and flew away never to be seen. Yes - i'm a novice who did not listen to warnings about this happening to many others thus newbies should either tie a string or practice indoors first. So, please, learn to fly this indoors and even after that, don't fly it too high or out-of-plain sight as this can just keep flying in the last ordered direction and fly away.

considering this deal now to apply my own teachings in practice

Been flying drones for years and still like these cheap-but-decent ones to teach others how to fly.

A friend was so concerned about wrecking it by crashing, so I picked it up and threw it like 10' away onto the grass saying "Look, it's really ok, I'm not concerned about you crashing it and they can take a bit of abuse, trust me!"

I've gotten 3 people past their early-beginner stages with the X5A. At this price I'm tempted to get one or two of these to give away once they've 'graduated' the beginner training lol.

Same thing happened to me, I had totaled 5 mins outdoor flight time before it disappears.

I have two of these drones. I almost lost the 1st one a few times. What's funny is well kinda I was flying the drone and wasn't coming back. I quickly decided to turn the controller off. It fell pretty much straight down and landed right before the tree's. Surprisingly if was ok. After some other crashes one of the props stopped working so I got my 2nd one and now that I'm better it's been good.

I would only fly in high mode, no wind and keep the drone somewhat close definitely not that high. I like this small drone because I can fly it in my backyard. I also have a Phantom 3. I can't do that. This Syma X5C is a great beginner drone. I bought a five pack of batteries that comes with a charger for like $20.
