Opinions on TV Mounting Setup and Alternative Options

This is our current setup. Looking to possibly upgrade from a 55" to a 65". I'd like to get people's take on the current setup as far as visual appeal (poll included). And feel free to reply with comments on ideas on how to improve. Thank you.

If you're 14' away anyway, I'd consider getting a shallow-ish stand and simply putting it in front of that space, but I personally like stands better than mounts.
Elsewise, I agree with the guy that said portrait mode.

Get a pull down projection screen, get a projector, problem solved, you can go bigger than 65" easily.

One for well lit rooms, the problem is that they have poor black levels. So in a well lit room, you can easily have a projector, and all your bright scenes (sports?) will look great. But movies with a lot of darks will look a washed out. Even if you turn off the lights.
The other option is to get a projector that has great black levels, but doesn't have lots of light output. In a well lit room it'll be washed out. But if you can get black out curtains, it'll have amazing quality.
Like with everything, there are tradeoffs.
