It all depends on you. Mice come in different sizes and performances. Only way to know for sure is to actually use it yourself. There are people out there wrecking others with cheap mice, so name brands and high prices aren't always what it seems to be.

Bought this 6 months ago for work, and bought a second one for home 1 month later. Sure it's great for gaming, but having a 10 button programmable mouse for everyday use at work is amazing. Media controls are nice, as well as programmable keystrokes. Macros are easy, and switching between programmed sets is nice. Sometimes it's nice to split axis speed (horiontal/vertical) when using Photoshop. Need to program it so that you can close a window quickly when your boss walks in? You can do that too.

Is this considered top of the line for a gaming mouse?

I use this mouse for world of warcraft because you can map all the side buttons. I use a steel series sensei for first person shooters. This mouse is excellent at what it does, but if you only play shooters this feels a little too big for it.
Gaming mouse? I need 12 buttons on my thumb for video editing. Should be called a video/photo editing mouse. Put all of the buttons you use in Premiere/lightroom or whatever and edit like never before. You will thank me.

Had a normal scimitar, double clicked in 3 months. Had a strafe, double typed in 5. Both of which required me to pay shipping if I wanted a replacement.
With a g903 now, couldn't be more happy. I had a double click problem with this too. However, Logitech paid shipping, and replacement was shipped overnight.

Wait, isn't G903 is $110 currently on Amazon? This mouse in the OP is $35.

EDIT: Looks like it doesn't have side2side buttons on the scroll wheel.
