I jumped on a similar deal (same price, same store) back in August. Unfortunately, my GPS started to go flaky after the return period expired so I had to work with Garmin. Garmin's warranty people claimed they have no records of my GPS having been refurbished by them so they weren't going to honor the 1-year refurb warranty.
So if you jump on this deal, I recommend you check with Garmin about whether your device shows up in their system as having been refurb'd. Do this before your buydig.com return window closes or else you'll have a hard time getting it fixed if things go bad later.
These are actually great for certain people/purposes. For example, if you drive a lot (like truckers), you're probably going to want a bigger screen than your phone. Also you'll likely be in areas without cell signal, so unable to update or download maps. Phones aren't very accurate without cell signal, at least initially. And there are many more.
Now true, for the average person going for a short day trip somewhere they're not used to, or across town, or even a mini vacation, a cel GPS is perfectly adequate, and sometimes better. But these devices still have their place for some folks.
Still use my GPS. So much better than having my phone on for hours and hours getting hot. And I can use my phone for other stuff while GPS is going. I don't always use it on short trips, but always do on anything more than a couple of hours.

The 61 has off-road feature according to Garmin site. Didn't check the 50. If so the 61 will prob show when you are on the water, but not with the details of Navionics maps. My old Garmin is 11 years old. Time to upgrade. Got the 61.
Guess these are good to have in case your phone dies or you lose phone reception... otherwise Waze is great.

Bought 50LMT about 6 months back for the same price at Buydig. So far good. No issues. Works with voice commands too, but not easy. Traffic feature works too, but not as accurate and as fast as your phone gps. I only use it for long drivers.
