This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

My mom made in into town about 15 minutes before, so she was right there when it happened.

Anyway, the bad news was that he had to be under blue lights for several days for jaundice and we both were in the hospital through Tuesday. At first were having a lot of trouble feeding him, and he was losing weight. But as of yesterday his total weight was only down 4% and the jaundice issue was almost gone, so we are very happy.

My mom and dad and my dad's wife were all in town through today so they've been a ton of help. Now comes the part where we do it all on our own. . . : O

Hope you all have been well-- I'll try to get caught up. . . someday. : )

[I tried to upload a pic but it's too big. . . I'll try again later.]

I heart the name. My name is Andrea!!

Thanks for responding. I am just thinking of something like a cellophane or gift bag to put some stuff that I want to get for a co worker's bday in. Her bday is in a few weeks but I like to plan ahead since I am pretty busy. I also hate cold chocolate unless it is chocolate ice cream.....sorry for mentioning that.

They have some very nice gift bags there too, and they are $1 each, except I think the little ones are $0.50 but they had some very nice big gift ones. I usually hate cheap bags because they are well cheap, but these I promise were very nice, and not cheesy looking. I got a gorgeous one of a black and white farm with a red barn, very classy looking Smilie BTW im ignoring the ice cream comment LMAO

Has anyone else had issues with their Kashi bars being hard as a rock? I purchased a few boxes during the gift card deal and the expiration date is at the end of April. They were stored in my pantry, which is at average temperature. I finally opened one of the boxes and I believe if you tried to eat many of them you would risk breaking some teeth. The other box is the same way, so my DH drilled holes in them to put them on a string for the squirrels or other critters in our backyard to eat. They didn't even break apart when my DH drilled the holes! EEK!

I called Kashi and they said this isn't normal, and they offered to send me coupons for replacements. I really would rather have a refund, as my DH just thinks they are made this way and I didn't think they were very good. But I didn't want to complain to much, as I figured I'll just give the next two boxes to the squirrels if they are that hard, and won't buy them anymore.

Hokay, many of you know how ancient ol' INAA is, but I'll (carbon) date myself even further by saying that when I was a youngster living in Southern California, my favorite ice cream used to be from the Thrifty drug store counter. Back when Thrifty was THE drug store chain. Their ice cream scooper made it into nifty little cylinders, not the regular old blobs you'd get everywhere else; never have seen such a scooper before or since. Is Rite Aid using something similar?

Also, for you Californians of a certain vintage...remember Farrell's Ice Cream (where we always lied and said it was our birthday, just to get the special treatment---and C.E.C. can kiss Farrell's right smack dab on the ass, 'cause Farrell's had like flashing lights and a siren and a whole big production (kinda like Applebee's or Hooters, but WAY better).

How about Swensen's (mmmm...earthquake)?

Love's BBQ?

Longfellow's (chicken, steak...and chocolate cake!)

Merrimac's in Costa Mesa for prime rib...

Pioneer Chicken?

Yuuuuuuummmmmm!!!

Hey I remember getting ice cream from the counter at the Thrifty's Drug store (in the cylinder shape) in San Diego and I am not that old!!! You can still get it from some of the counters here at Rite Aid (same cool shape scooper) the price has just gone up now!!! OMG

I do remember Farrell's. We often went there for my B day when I was young! I don't remember the taste of the ice cream, just the "fancy to do" they would do for your b day.

Dontknow about the other stuff, I think you are starting to date yourself Wink Teehee hug
