    I paid $160 for a pair of Corsair Vengance LPX 3200mhz 8GB sticks that I can't get to run above 2933 in my ryzen setup worth a darn... it was a struggle to even get 2933 running. I also paid $299 for a Ryzen 7 1700X and I think just a few months later that price of that dropped significantly as the second gen ryzen chips launched.

    Same thing happened to me back in 2006 when I built my first system... paid $300 for an amd opteron 165 and $300 for a radeon X1800 XT that literally both dropped in price by 50% less than four months after I built. Could have saved $300 by waiting three more months.

    Now this ram is half of what I paid for my kit in the fall of 2017, and I could have saved around $100 on the CPU.

    Oh well.
