512 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, 3G... I don't think this qualifies as a deal in 2019.

512GB Ram beats all the phones out now combined!! What are you smoking?!?! This is a steal!!!!!!

I must be overlooking something but it says it comes with 3 months of Sirrius XM streaming but I don't see any mention of the 3 month Mint Sim card??? EDIT: Now I see the 3 month Mint Mobile offer on the right. Not very prominent. Very nice deal! It's like they are paying you to take the phone. May not have great specs but one thing that stands out about the phone is that it's a dual sim.

This is more about the mintsim plan than the phone, they are giving back some money to take the phone.

Mint says on their site that you need to activate the SIM within 45 days, but I didn't see that information in the product info on Best Buy.
Does that mean it should be OK to wait longer? I've heard that some people have had no trouble activating these 3-month prepaid cards from Best Buy after longer than 45 days, but not sure if that is common or if its the exception...

I'm guessing if you buy this and return the phone, the mint plan becomes invalid? does mint know and deactivate the plan or something?

I doubt it, but it may be irrelevant, because:

The value of the freebie is $60, which is greater than the price of the phone, so it sounds like if they stick to that policy you could return the phone, but you'd get no refund at all for it.

Talked myself into it. Even if I consider the phone to have no value at all, I still can't find a better deal on the 3-month 8GB Mint SIM kit now that the buy one month get two free has ended (plus that only worked once), and it's even slightly cheaper than the normal promo price for the 3-month 3GB kit. There are some 8GB SIM kits on eBay for $45 but who knows how old they are and if they might be rejected for activation, etc.

Yes, I think you are correct. Might as well keep it as a backup.

After my 3 month mint sim is done, I plan on going to red pocket's 5gb t-mobile plan. I picked one for $200 after the last ebay 10% coupon deal. Which is about the same price as mint's sim 1 year 3gb plan for $180 plus taxes.
