$25 Fire TV Discount Code for Panasonic Smart TV Owners - YMMV/PSA

Amazon sent me an email stating that as of September 26, 2019, they would no longer support the built in Amazon Prime video application on my Panasonic Smart TV. To make up for this loss of functionality they included a $25 discount code for a Fire TV stick.

FWIW, I'm an Amazon Prime member who watches no more than one Amazon video on this TV per month. The coupon code sent appears to be a single use code.

BOLO for same of you are in a similar situation.

You know I knew something like this would happen when they stopped updating my smart TV apps on my older Vizio and half are working. I didn't see Amazon disable it on branded TV though, why is that?

I have an old panasonic tv with the apps built in, any way to activate this? Do I need to sign in to the Amazon app on it?

Good deal for those plasma's that won't quit. A shame because they were some great TVs.

Important information about accessing Prime Video on your Sony Smart TV

Amazon will no longer be supporting the Prime Video app on your Sony Smart TV as of September 26, 2019. We are continually upgrading our service and this occasionally means we can no longer support certain device models.

To help you to continue streaming your favorite content, we're offering you a $25 credit towards select Fire TV devices which will allow you to continue to stream your favorites from Prime Video. To redeem, add a Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, or Fire TV Cube to your cart and enter the below promo code at checkout. This offer ends on November 1, 2019.

I didnt get the e-mail for my old Sony but got the message on the app that it will no longer be supported. Called the CSR and received a $25 credit. Unfortunately the 4KFIRETV code didn't work on my account or it would have been free. Good luck!
