Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

There is Mint buy 3 get 3 free

This locks you in for a year

It is a very good deal but is it the best, subjective.... some people like the Walmart ATT which is no year up front $15 more, 25gb vs 8gb
What's the Walmart deal you guys talking about? Can we do it online or in store only?

Any new information on when Cricket's updated plans come out?
It came out and I don't think anything changed for the 5gb plan. Search cricket above.

What towers does Mint use? Tmobile? No thanks

Not saying Tmobile is bad, but I think many people are here for ATT's coverage.

Your $15 service is useless if you have no signal...

Did not purchase yet, but in NV my cart, with SIM, currently shows "Due today $305.40" "Due monthly $0.00" and "One-time charges $0.00". So, YMMV?

Interested in using a current At&t prepaid number. I've read through a few pages of the thread and seen some ideas but haven't seen if anyone confirm success. So has anyone been able to port out from At&t prepaid and then port back in?

For what its worth, just in case people want to use refills for this, when ordered my sim with a visa card that only had $50 on it, so they have nothing they can charge $300 to, the sim came with a phone number assigned so I am guessing I can login and pay with refills. However I decided to go with the Wmt plan so not going to try it.

Ok, so I signed up and my charges today per AT&T are $326.23. I'm in NC if that helps anyone.

Checking my account there are 3 pending charges:

1@ $1.01 for VESTA AT T MOBILITY
1@ $5.33 AT T ESTORE K006 9968 <=== I assume that's for the sim card
1@ $1.00 AT T ESTORE K006 9968

The other 2 I have no clue. My intention is to buy the prepaid cards at Target once I get the SIM.

Wanted to add that I saw nothing in regards to using prepaid cards when I placed the order. I read here someone already had success doing so....so, I'm crossing my fingers.

Did your CC get charged 326.23?

I activated my SIM card today but couldn't port in my old number. I went to ATT store to get it done by the rep. Then we found my CC was not charged after I placed order last week so I have no balance in my account. I gave my credit card info again to be able to finish the set up. Now I worry about double charge from ATT.

No, those are "pending" charges. I think they just do that to make sure the card is valid. At gas stations, they usually do that for $85, $95, or a $100. But once posted, the charge will be whatever it's supposed to be.

Oh, I don't know about that. I assume once you activate the SIM, the charge goes through. That's usually how it works. But maybe those reps see more than we do. Good Luck!

Do they charge just the SIM card first when we order online and charge remaining $300 when activating ?
