Go with the CostCo one. That has Quad Core CPU vs Dual Core in this, better integrated VEGA 8 Graphics and 256GB SSD. Those justify that extra price premium.
Nah it's free. Takes 30 seconds. Look it up on youtube
Just thought I'd mention this an alternative for anyone who prefers one brand over the other or for the very minor differences in specs - Lenovo L340 $349.99 in store only at Staples. [staples.com] And before anyone asks, it's not a YMMV price, it's nationwide. Staples just frequently promotes in store only sales as a way to increase foot-traffic.

This checks almost every box for me for a laptop - but how's the screen?

Actually That Lenovo L340 is a bit chunkier and heavier and hhas a bigger footprint due having a DVD-RW. This has more similarities with S340 series

Eh, some of the weirdos here on SD might actually want that DVD-RW drive laugh out loud. Like I said, just mentioning it as a alternative.

Just when I think I've narrowed down my choices, another deal pops up. I'm gonna have to choose soon before I go insane...

For a casual user, how would this compare to the Asus Costco deal for $50 more? https://slickdeals.net/f/13304167-asus-vivobook-f412da-14-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-1080p-399-99

From my quick look, it seems like the processor and double the storage would be worth the Costco one.

Are there any 2 in 1s in this price range that are decent?

Battery life is not going to be very high.

The amazon one will be more battery efficient because of intel cpu and has a bigger screen. Costco one probably the better deal overall but both are really great. Those bezels at this price point
