Better then previously $250 off deal. Glad I missed that deal. Not sure it can get better than this.
This deal is avaialable from Google Store or Best Buy with local pick up. Going for best buy since I do not have google credit any longer to use.
At this price I think we getting now a good value for this.

Going through Google store gives you pick of the free keyboard, either the Brydge or Google's own. The difference being the Brydge keyboard has a hinge and can support the weight of the slate for easy use on a lap or surface where the Google keyboard may not offer enough support.

price might be solid.
can't recommend this to anyone who want to do anything other than stream (speakers are pretty good) and play games. even now apps are laggy and crashes.
barely handle google sheets.
M3 might be little better than whatever they used before.. but TD!

m3 is okay for simple stuff which what mostly you do on Chromeos. Now Slate has it's own issue. The previous generation m3 on HP X2 Chromebook detachable worked with no issue for me.

You would be shocked how slow it is. M3 is not able to handle the high resolution on slate.

I would not recommend paying $500+ for a chomeos at this moment. Go with either surface pro 5 or 6 is much better and plus iPadOS is coming soon which is another option.

I have owned one for a week. It was not slow to me. People speak without first hand experience. The only issue i ran into the display font had some isue with one my favorite app. But it was usable.

I tried this when it was first released. It was barely usable. Google might have updated the software to make it run better now. Still M3 is underpowered for the slate. You should at least get a i3 to be more future proof.

Why can't Google just put normal Android on its own quality tablet ?? I want a nice solid Android tablet where it is just fking Android no it's and buts and none of the apps complain about not having tablet mode and no 4K on Netflix blah blah. Just a phone but bigger with ability to connect a second external screen with proper cable and keyboard mouse. Simple .

Yeah I agree with you. One of my needs for this is an up-to-date Android tablet with years of update.
