Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

You realize the promo specifically says "with new line activation", right?

Do you think they aren't going to require adding a new line?

Goes to costco: Hi, here is my iPhone 6s, please give me an iPhone 11.
Costco kiosk rep: sure, here is your brand new iPhone 11, enjoy Wave

iPhone 11 $630+tax + 2-3 months of service (cheapest $60 + tax) - $700 rebate after 6-8 weeks. You can unlock on day 41 but if you didn't receive the rebate by then you'll lose out on it if you cancel the service.
In past deals they've never given more back in rebate than you paid for the phone.

Rumor is SimpleChoice plans will be removed all together next month. I spoke with T-mobile regarding my account and she seemed to insist that I wait one month before changing plans. I believe there will be a transition to a different better plan for all SimpleChoice ppl. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but it was on there front page for a few days regarding a major overhaul in December.

See Below the plan is called T-Mobile connect. Essentially the same as Simple choice, even cheaper for me at 15 a line for 5 lines thats way less than I pay now with simple choice and it has added benefits.

https://www.t-mobile.com/5g/new-t...lsrc=aw.ds

This plan will be available to the following agencies: public state and local and private non-profit agencies that manage Police & Sheriff, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services for cities, counties and states.

so you have 3 lines on 55+? I thought 2 is the max.
There was a promo last year where some of the 55+ accounts were given the ability to add a third line.

I clicked on the link and don't see anything about iPhone 6 or 6 plus. Where does the 6/6P possibility come from? Was anyone able to confirm that? Thanks.

Simple choice plans are excluded, does it mean that if I have Simple choice I cannot get this deal, or does it mean that I can add a new line with eligible plan and get this deal? thank you

But would Tmobile allow me to get the $700 rebate instead of $580?
How would we know?

Note the terms say you have to reactivate any voice lines cancelled in the past 90 days, so that's going to eat into your gain.

Not sure about the card expiring in 6 months... but who has trouble spending around $700 in 6 months. We go through that in a few weeks.

Am I missing something?
I suppose if you're doing four deals you might have some concerns, but for one or two deals it should be trivial to burn through the prepaid card simply by using it to pay various utility bills - power, water, heat, internet, tv/streaming, etc. add up. and that doesn't even count all the stuff I buy online every month.

OP Here: To everyone asking how I can say iPhone 6 is eligible - for the last year or so that these promos have run, T-Mobile and Costco have featured identical promos simultaneously, with the only difference being bill credits at T-Mobile with EIP vs rebate card at Costco with outright purchase. The T-Mobile version of this deal lists iPhone 6 as an eligible device in the FAQ here if you scroll down: https://www.t-mobile.com/content/...spect.html

What devices can I trade in to qualify for this offer?
Eligible trade-ins (in good condition) for the offer include:

For $700 off:
Apple iPhone: XS, XS Max, XR, X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus (any variant)
For $500 off:
Apple iPhone: 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus (any variant)
Please remember that your trade-in device must be fully paid off and owned by you.

So it's my educated guess that iPhone 6 will also qualify, unless they made a typo, and I'm sure someone can verify by calling T-Mobile Promotions directly by referring them to the Costco promo code specifically.

edit: they updated the page and removed iPhone 6 from the list.
