Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

I purchased a pre owned iPhone 7 from Boost mobile. When I enter the IMEI of the device on ting.com website, it says

"Sorry, this phone can't be activated right now. This device has not reached financial eligibility. "

Is this phone eligible to trade-in ? or Should I return it and buy a brand new iPhone 7 at Boost store by porting a number to trade-in ?

Thanks

Agreed, hope they stick to their word and fix it by tomorrow. I think the twitter thing made the difference.

I would suggest anyone who is having this issue also post on Twitter, this is the only channel that seems to be working since this deal started. The more people who voice their concern the higher it goes on their priority list.

Can someone post the twitter link on the wiki of this forum and urge people to post on Twitter? I don't know how to post on wiki, thanks.
I just added the twitter link to the top of wiki.

Hi all, thanks for sharing these amazing feedback ! I have a question regarding the trade in. The phone IMEI I used for trade in cannot be used as it is under a contract.

If I use a different phone for the trade-in, can any Costco change the IMEI or does it have to be the one where I got it from. I think they use the same system so hopefully it is feasible. Alternatively, is it possible for TMobile to do it over the phone ? Thanks.
Just cross the old imei and write the new imei on the sheet going in with the phone for trade in, no need to go back to Costco or call T-Mobile. I've done this three times and got my rebate for all.

What do you mean showing up? Are you just checking stock via chat?

I mentioned this earlier, but it's weird that on the wireless advocates website, they dont sell purple or green T-Mobile Apple phones.

I think they are just using up the Verizon/ATT/Sprint stock and that's why T-Mo doesn't have the IMEI in their database.

The boost phone is not financed though. It's just locked to the carrier. There are no installments tied to the phone. If you stop paying your boost bill your service is cutoff but the phone is not blacklisted like phones that are financed
Yes, it's locked. That's all logical but I'm simply checking the IMEI on those external sites like people indicate here. How does T-Mobile check to see if your phone is free and clear? Do they have some other means?

uhh, Boost iphone 7 works if purchased directly from their website, dont understand why someone said they didnt. Had a friend trade one in directly to T-mobile for the bill credits.
I have traded in 4 boost iphone 7, no problem at all

Wow, thanks !! Just to be sure - does the phone model have to be the same when I send in the one with the new IMEI. The one they have on paper is an XR which I cannot send. I'll get a 7 instead and send that with the IMEI updated.

2 days ago I bought iphone 11 pro max 64GB since 256GB is not available at that time.
Is that possible to return the phone and buy another one with bigger storage?

I bought 4 iPhone 11's a couple weeks back when Costco/T-Mobile were offering $580 for iPhone 6S Trade-In.

Anyone know if I am eligible to add a line and trade in an iPhone 7 to get $700. Or does the 4 limit per account apply to all promos combined?

You can't combine them. Think about it. BYOD means bring your own device. You get this when you add/activate a line and don't buy a phone. You get one offer.
I brought my own old phone for the BYOD port-in as a 4th line.

Finding all sneaky wireless employees around in multiple Costco's. They lie about inventory even when they have plenty on hand. And purposely delay by hours to avoid selling.

If deal is not beneficial to them then why run it? And waste customer time.
