Will the 90min addition adversely effect the beer? Not that it matters at this pointDoh

If I pulled the hop bag out now(~55min remain) then reinserted it a 30min with the fresh hops, do you think it would help?

Ahhh.
So a WIC runs clod water through the coil and then the wort is also pumped through a separate line to create the whirlpool? Never fully understood those chillers.

yeah, it pulls hot wort from the bottom, then recirculates it back into the kettle, "spraying" the hot wort onto the cold coils of the chiller, creating a whirlpool as well.

whirlpool pump takes colder wort from the bottom of the kettle and pumps it back into the kettle on the top...then his sump pump pumps ice cold water through the chiller...very fast and effective..

i want one sooo bad...

Seems like the wort would gum up the whirlpool pump.

just for fermentation...a fridge temp controller...around $50, if you are going to serve beer out of it, or you want to ferment lagers and ales in then you will have to buy a dual stage controller, fermwrap, and then a thermowell probe.

Yeah, just for fermenting, at least to being with. Maybe eventually I rig it up to do more but for now, it's just too F'n hot to try and brew. The house is kept at about 80 degress and it's a pain to try and do the whole tub of water/towel thing. Plus I figure this will help get the temps more consistent. Would H.D. or Lowes carry one?
