These are cheap models, they are not Les Paul Gibsons. Don't waste your time with these.

If you want quality Les Paul - look into newly released Epiphone guitars - 50s and 60s or Classic models, with new headstock shape they are very close to real Gibsons.
Do you actually have one of these guitars? I do and these are great guitars for the money. A USA made Gibson is better than any Chinese made epiphone- I've had plenty of both to know.

Have you seen new Epiphones? They are better that these bare bones Gibsons.

Yes I have- check out trogly's on YouTube if you want to hear how horrible they are. These Gibson's are plek-ed and that alone makes them lightyears beyond the new epiphones. AND resale is always better on a USA Gibson over an epiphone.

I agree that this pricing isn't new. Sweet water, MF and GC all have these at the same price. Either it's a fire sale, or the guitars suck. lol

I can see that the prices elsewhere are similar. I wonder what's the deal? Usually USA-made guitars command a premium. Shoot, I'd love one of the Tribute models, but I just got a Tele a few months ago.

The Epis use the same Import Metric Specs as the Previous years, So basically nothing new other than the headstock.

New Epiphones just came out, it happens with new products that they have some issues in the beginning, I am sure they will be sorted out soon.

I have 4 Epiphones (2 made in 2019) and they are perfect guitars, no issues at all, they all play and sound great. One of them has Gibson 57 Zebra pick-ups, it's as good as Gibson.

You know what the best part is? All of then cost me less than decent Gibson model in used market.

As for quality, it's well know fact that Gibson's quality control has had issues for years, there are multiple reviews and unhappy Gibson USA owners talking about this. BTW, a lot of them complained that Gibson managed to keep lower priced Epiphone products without such issues.

Sorry but you don't understand the concept of resale value or the difference between a USA made guitar that has been plek-ed vs a Chinese made guitar. Enjoy those epiphones- sounds like you have the 4 best ones ever made!

Guitar quality to price point is a scale if diminishing returns. If you cannot discern the difference beyond a given price point, then that's the one they made for you. Don't get me wrong, Epiphone is making some fine instruments these days. Gibson ironed out much of thier QC issues prior to the 2018 models and they've been making terrific investments since. Even the low QC era wasn't as bad as the complaints you hear. People will raise a much bigger stink about a minor imperfection on a $3000 guitar than they will on a $300 guitar. Do you own any Gibsons to make a fair comparison?

Hey, no need to get into argument over this. If you like this design - fine, get it and enjoy.

My point was that most players would be better off with and prefer more common traditional design - Les Paul, Stratocaster or Telecaster, for which good cheaper alternatives exist.

In my experience too Gibson are superior, epiphone are great for the price but the resale is so bad as to be non existent. I also agree that if the Gibson's are plek'd that makes a huge difference. Google the term if you've never heard of it. I've been eager to get my hands on an inexpensive p90 guitar and this might be the ticket. I'm only hesitating because apparently the price isn't that great?
