    Few weeks ago, severe storms knocked our power and with it lost all floor lamps that were on at the time. Really weird. All the floor lamps had good GE Led bulbs and all of them got fried.

    So got a whole house surge protector. If you own your home, no reason not to have this installed.

    If your receptacles are that worn out you should replace them asap.

    Loose connections at receptacles are a huge fire risk.

    Those don't work on the decora style outlets. This seems good for people with those outlets.
