Can I transfer from mint mobile
TMobile system did not accept a Mint Mobile # transfer for promo deal a few months back..so likely Metro will not also. The porting # itself worked but the # did not show acceptable for transfer promotion.

You will be disappointed when you see the screen size in person. I thought my Galaxy S10e was too small.lol
I'm still rocking the original SE, so this one is huge!

It's $199 plus taxes and fees. Keep in mind most stores charge taxes off the MSRP. The $100 digital rebate comes after 6 months of service and the line is still active.

Just returned from corp store in Hartford. The deal is iPhone SE for $199 and after 6 months of service they give you a $100 rebate card. Not a slick deal unless you want to switch permanently to Metro.. OTOH I walked out with a new iPhone 7 for $88.21 OTD with one month service. I've done 6 prior phone deals with Metro and all phones unlocked at 6 months though I only paid for the first month and the TOS were the same as today. Of course it's YMMV as a few have reported failure of their phones to be unlocked,

Did you guys ask as a new plan or switching service with a number port?

Because the fine print on the ad states

"Switcher Instant Rebate: For a limited time at participating Metro® by T-Mobile stores, purchase an Apple iPhone SE 64GB Black and port-in an existing eligible wireless number to that phone and receive an instant $300 rebate off full retail price with validation of name, address, and date of birth provided through independent database and presentation of matching identification."

supposedly INSTANT $300 REBATE not $100 rebate later.

Another key word... "participating" stores lol

Thanks for the update.

It sounds like they have changed the terms of unlocking from their previous deals, so that now you have to actually USE the phone (have Metro service) for 6 months to get unlocked. Previously, you only needed to wait 6 months (with or without use) to get auto unlocked.

If that's so, the deal is:

$99 + $15 activation + (whatever the cheapest 6 month plan you can get) for the phone. Probably still a good deal, but not as cheap.

Perhaps someone who goes to the store can provide info on the cheapest 6 month plan is for this phone.

Oh, and Metro also shut down the "buy number on eBay to port" thing last time. Now you have to have been on the previous service for some period of time. So there's that, as well.
Can you link a thread where you see all this

Good point.
I think most store try to scam you while they can. What if after 6 months then there is no rebate card? We'll all forget...

Just to clarify 6 months is the term needed to unlock the device. There's no 6 month requirement for the promotion (or penalty beforehand), just if you wanted to then the use the phone on another carrier.
Same difference. Still sticks you with them for 6 months or your phone is a paperweight.

Is there a way to get in on this deal with already being a Metro by T-Mobile user?
I'm looking for this also, even if it's not the same exact deal. Wondering if there's any deals for current subscribers.

Now I just have to figure out the porting...
All you have to do is to bring your phone number from your previous provider to metro

Not exactly. This is a good iPod like device for kids to play games and use apps on wifi.

Stop posting like an immature 12 -year old. You do realize almost everyone by now has seen a 6, 6s, 7, or 8 and therefore knows exactly what the SE screen size will look like. That is why many of us are buying it. Some people actually want small phones, myself included. In fact, I wish the new SE was even smaller like the old one.

Yea but I just saw a disclaimer on the Metro web site:
"Not valid in CT/RI/Miami-Dade." That may explain the store's response.

Just walked out with it. $199 + tax + $15 activation + $30 first month service. Supposedly will get $100 back after 6 months.
