New customers:
Must activate 2 voice lines. Third voice line will be free.
Current customers:
If you have at least 2 paid voice lines, you are eligible to get a free voice line on a qualifying plan, including Simple Choice, ONE and Magenta. Exclusions will apply, including discounted plans (military, first responder, 55+ and T-Mobile ONE All-In Promo plans) not being eligible. Taxes and fees may apply depending on your existing plan. This may include a SIM or activation fee that may be waived later via chat.
The best way to go about getting this promotion is through T-Force.
Some reps however are still referencing the old promo that ended Thursday, 6/25 and saying you need to add two voice lines on top of your existing two voice lines. This is incorrect. Refer to Doc 20Q23 if they say this or are denied the promo and you see your plan is eligible. The list of eligible SOC plans can be found in the FAQ below.
Fastest way to take advantage of this promo is Text 611 from your tmobile phone number, Tell the rep you want to take advantage of Doc 20Q23, Avoid Twitter or Facebook, they are overloaded - Bad_Boy
For people that know the official answer. Please help answer this FAQ questions.
In general, T-Mobile like any other carrier offers different types of lines, even though technically everything is software configurable.
- Voice lines (to be used in a phone) with associated data capacity - this is what this promo offers - You add a line to your account that inherits the "line" features of your account plan
- Mobile Internet lines - tablets and hotspots
- Wearable lines - smart watches
F.A.Q.
- How do I get this deal?
Easiest, but not necessarily the quickest way is through T-Force. T-Force is T-Mobile's elite customer service reps that work on their social media sites and are accessible via chat on Facebook and Twitter (@tmobilehelp). They can also be contacted via iPhone iMessage. To do this, search T-Mobile on your iPhone, scroll down to Business and click the messages icon next to T-Mobile. Alternatively, you can call 611. Make sure to reference Doc 20Q23 - Does this work for Simple Choice plans?
Yes, but not every Simple Choice plan qualifies. The following SOC codes are Simple Choice plans that do work with the promotion: SCFUTT4, SCFUTT6, SCFUTTBD, NAFUTT, NAFUTT2, NAFUTT4, NAFUTT2P, NAUTTF, 6FMBZ4L, 6FMSC2, 6FMSC4, 6SCFM2L, 6SCFM2LN, 6SCFM4L, 6FMBZ2L, 6FAMSC2, 6FAMBZ2L, 6BFM4L. When contacting T-Mobile on Simple Choice, you can ask which plan you're on. - How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:
````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````
You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:- View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
- Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
- In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
- Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.
- Do you have a list of all the applicable SOC plans?
Thanks to a helpful T-Mobile employee on Reddit, we do. Check out the list of SOCs that are applicable for this plan by clicking the link below:
https://imgur.com/uLwq0iF - What are some of the stipulations with this?
As long as you are on a plan that qualifies and have at least two paid voice lines, this is what one SD user BongH was told by a T-Mobile rep: "There is no trade, no additional lines needed, you just add the line. You wouldn't be able to cancel any lines for one year after adding that line and then after that year, you have to have two paid lines outside the free line to keep the promo going." - Does this affect corporate discount (like they may remove the corporate discount)?
Discounted plans (military, first responder and 55+) are not eligible. But eligible plan w/ corporate discount may be ok based on SDer posts. Search "Corporate" in this thread to find those posts. - For people with 2 paid lines and 1-3 free promo lines already, can they get this additional free line?
Yes, you can depending on the plan you are on. - I ordered through T-Force X amount of hours ago. When will I see this on my plan?
Due to the popularity of this promotion, it may not show online until 24-48 hours from the time your new SIM is shipped. If your account doesn't require a new SIM, it may still take up to 48 hours to see the changes reflected online. - Does this stack with any device promotions?
Yes, however each device promotion has specific requirements and your plan may not be compatible with the device promotions however. Check T-Mobile.com or contact T-Force for specific device promotions. - When does this promotion end?
The last day of this promotion is Monday, July 6th.

^^^ THIS IS FALSE INFORMATION! I HAVE SPOKEN TO FOUR LIVE OPERATORS. I HAVE USED FACEBOOK MESSAGING. I HAVE USED TWITTER. I REFERRED TO "DOC 20Q23" EACH TIME. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR All-In-One ONE plans! If you have any kind of promo associated with your current plan, you will get denied. Do NOT Erase my message again. You are spreading false information. ]
I agree with the red text above, I had to switch from All-in to Essential (Magenta will also work) to get the free line, but I am fine with losing HD video and some international features.
See green below to reconcile confusion
======================================
Adding my 2 cents here. I'm in a position to have contact with a large group of store employees from around the country, and can confirm that this offer is a free line, no strings attached (aside from assisted support charge and sim fee) for any postpaid account on the Magenta, Essentials, Tmo ONE, and Simple Choice plans. Simple Choice has a set of limitations for their accounts (see above which SOC's qualify). The T-Mobile ONE All-in plan is not eligible. For all other plans, you should be able to just simply add a free line to your account if you have at least 2 lines and less than 12 lines.

iPhone 11 info:
The current iPhone 11 deal requires a port AND trade-in. There was a promo that expired yesterday which DID NOT require porting in a number. It seems some people who added the free line early this morning were talking with reps overseas who could still see that promo. I added my free line around noon Eastern and the rep said the new iPhone 11 promo (up to $700 credit with trade-in) requires a port. I'm likely moving one of my parents over to this free line from Tello anyway, so I said that's fine. I added the free line and ordered a 128 GB iPhone 11 which is $750. Was told I'd get $114 upfront with my trade in and the rest of the $700 would be spread across 24 months as bill credits once we ported in a number on that free line. With all the prepaid services out there, it'd be pretty easy to start service and then port that number into TMo if someone really wanted the iPhone 11.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)
If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.
THEN....
Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!
As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.
Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

I am on an Amplified plan. It does not appear that have messed that up. Hopefully it stays that way. I also canceled a line about 30 days ago. The rep said nothing about the 90 day rule that has been mentioned here. Hopefully the discount does not disappear. Guess only time will tell.
Thanks again OP!
Roll the dice and add a line through your account if you're on a grandfather plan such as T-Mobile One with all those promotions instead of risking losing your plan going through a T-Mobile agent.
I'm currently working to get my plan changed back to T-Mobile One from Magenta.
I'm genuinely frustrated with these unauthorized changes to my plan.
The it took me 3 months to keep calling them and getting it back to "One" plan and get all the promos added back...geez...real PITA !!! The system kept sending me notifications that "xxx promo was activated" and then again "xxx promo was removed" etc a bunch of times making it very confusing which one to believe and which one to ignore !
Since then I am scared of changing anything (from the lines or plan point of view) otherwise it will take another 3/4 months to permanently fix any mess they make!
Some blame goes to their tight (or rather broken) system as well, it automatically kills a lot of promos/discounts which seem to be hard for them to manually re-enable !!!
These guys (or rather their system) is stupid enough to keep 2 plans called "One" and "One 9+" ! Had they kept straight "One 9+" plan for everyone to begin with folks would NOT keep complaining to add lines beyond 8 lines...lol
Now, someone in this thread said "Make sure to go to One 9+ plan and NOT Magenta 9+ plan to keep the discounts/promos intact"...! Anyone has a first hand experience with this idea? I mean can the reps/T-Force even do it (change to One 9+ rather than Magenta 9+ plan)???

Thank you for keeping in touch, _! I'm sorry for the confusion.There are some Simple Choice plans that are eligible for this promotional free line offer, but if you have a Simple Choice plan that is already a promotional price, like you do, it is not eligible. I see my team mates in Messaging also confirmed that your specific Simple Choice plan is not eligible. I would be glad to help you change you one of our current plans that is eligible for this promotion, if you'd like
Today:
Hey! Thank you so much for reaching out to us My name is Gina and I will be your #Magentaspecialist and I will be happy to help you. I completely understand your concerns about getting the promo and not losing the features. I want to help you the most. I do see that you qualify for the free line and it can take 24 hours to get the confirmation on it. The other line will continue the promo, I want you to take advantage of this deal before you decide to cancel it. About the sim card, where did you purchase it? Please let me knwo what you would like to do. ^GeorginaRueda
Same T-Force on Facebook, SAME THREAD so they would have seen what the previous agent said.
I called 611 and she said the reason my promo is not showing up is because the agent who set it up changed my new number and it could delay the process. So now she has to reach out to a specific team to try and get it fixed and will call me tomorrow. She also said my plan is eligible. What a cluster F, I didn't even really need this free line and should have just left things alone I did not anticipate all of this

Like I said, some blame goes to their system as well since the system makes it very very hard for them to change any plan to old/grandfathers plans like "One" or even "One 9+" !
All they can do is pick "Magenta" or "Magenta 9+" from the available options and proceed (which obviously kills all existing promos and starts with clean slate).
Now, even if we feel they made an "unauthorized" plan change, in reality we indirectly force them to change the plan when we ask them to add 9th line (which they can't unless they bump it up to a "9+" plan) but they just assume that nothing will change so they don't bother to tell you that, until of course it's too late and then everyone starts working on it to fix it...lol
