Can I use wood chip on this instead of charcoal? Will it catch on fire?
Someone else already answered, but if you end up using charcoal; you can layer in wood chips into the hopper to get some good smoke. You can also throw a ton of wood chips into the ash box too

Wood chunks are recommended. I think chips would burn up way too fast on this smoker.

Correct but the guy asked about wood chips
I have a few bags of leftover chips from my old smoker and if layered in the hopper they do quite well albeit they still do burn fast by virtue of them being wood chips.
I pick up one yesterday for $360. I'm wondering if I paid too much. I found one store an hour away is listed for $200. I wonder how hard it is to do return and rebuy. Any advise?

This deal is still alive with some work. I found a Walmart that had them for full price which I purchased for $497. I was then able to get a price match at another location that has them marked down to $233 with 3 year warranty + taxes = $292.30 out the door.
I found a method that works by using the Walmart app to check what the "store price" currently is. This usually matches Brickseek but not always. Use Brickseek to see if any locations have them in stock (probably for full price). Select "View Barcode" and scan with the Walmart app. Change the "my store" zip code to see what the current price is at different stores until you find one that has it for a lower price. Go to store and see if they will do a price match but make sure it is within 14 days of you purchase. VERY YMMV, but great deal if you can get it.

Lucky, I can never get WalMart to price match other stores. I've even had an employee say that people in Slickdeals try to take advantage of them by doing so haha. I was like oh weird not familiar with brickseek haha.
I was eyeing one for s while waiting for price to drop lower than thsn the $375 it was listed at and missed it when it did
If anyone is in the Raleigh area there is one 560 left at the Walmart on Glenwood in the outside area. I got the other for $350. It's the 2020 model not the 2021 with the updated charcoal grate.

Did you check brickseek before you go? What did it say?
