It is a very strong hold because it both solders the wires (so they have a firm grip) and has a built in heat shrink which will make the outer layer/shielding stay in place.
If you never tried it, I would give it a shot. I'm an electronics engineer and have no trouble at all when it comes to soldering. But I still use these occasionally since they are so convenient. Just heat it up until you see the actual solder joint change color (that means the solder flowed). Use a real heat gun where it is concentrated in the center vs a hair dryer.
By the way, these specifically use a low temperature solder alloy, which is why it is possible with a heat gun.
I never tried this brand but I did use Sopoby on Amazon, worked perfectly every time.
unless op has a better explanation, the only way to get these codes is if the amazon seller approaches OP and says, hey, post this to slickdeals for $15. use this code. then contacts a bunch of other people and says, hey, upvote this post for $5.
which also means they have likely paid for the positive reviews. aka this item is completely of unknown quality. pass.
Also these are generic Chinese products, check eBay or AliExpress or wherever to get good deals on them and in the quantities and sizes you need.
